Danger Dog Vinyl Figure from Tenacious Toys

All work places should have dogs.  That is legislation that could really impact everyone's lives in a positive fashion.  Whenever someone brings a dog in where I work it instantly downgrades what is usually a fecal hurricane into a mild tropical storm.  Dealing with the public is not the unicorns and rainbows anyone would make it out to be, but a visit form a little doggie makes it so much better.

The blue dog in the Tenacious Toys logo is like the Colonial Sanders of the designer toy world, minus the fancy white suit and all the chicken parts.  What I'm trying to say is he's instantly recognizable and just like I did with my Colonial Sanders plastic bank from the 1970's, you can add him to your ever growing collection.  Available in a painted edition, or as a blank in either blue or white, pick em up now at www.tenacioustoys.com.  Sculpted by Mike Nemo Mendez based on the art of Playful Gorilla.

Mario Troper Enamel Pin from Playful Gorilla

Enamel pins are the most popular thing in the world today, which is great until you literally run out of room.  Your jacket is getting short on real estate so you've got to pick and choose which ones you buy very carefully.  The easiest way to do that is to combine your favorite characters so you can represent more of what you love.  No need to thank me, I enjoy solving all of the world's problems.  You should read my ideas for closing the deficit and reforming healthcare.

Playful Gorilla has mashed up the world's of Star Wars and Super Mario Brothers into an amalgam known as Mario Trooper.  Based on one of his giant custom figures, this pin is available for a limited preorder right now through www.playfulgorilla.storenvy.com,  and when I say limited I mean as in 25.  Those 25 will also receive a free sticker of the Mario Trooper.

Danger Mascot Resin Figure from Tenacious Toys

It's strange to me that people think because you have cats that you obviously don't like dogs.  I love dogs, I'll have you know, and in fact there aren't any animals that fall outside of the realm of parasites that I don't like.  Even leeches are ok in my book, though my wife is still fighting me on using our basement to farm medical grade leeches for use in hospitals.  That part of the house is pretty much going to waste instead of working for us as a lucrative vampire worm business/tax write off.

I don't have the time nor the resources to dedicate to a real dog, but this resin mascot from Tenacious Toys would be a perfect substitute.  Based on the logo illustration from Playful Gorilla, this 2.5 inch figure was sculpted to perfection by Nemo and cast in Tenacious blue by resin wizard Dead Hand Toys.  There will be more colors in the future, but this one will be an open edition to help spread the love of the world's hardest working online toy retailer far and wide.

These are available right now for $25 from www.tenacioustoys.com.

Micro Busters Wave 1 from Playful Gorilla x Dads Cartoons

You know the mashup we haven't seen yet that the world surely needs?  A combo of Iron Man's Hulk Buster and The Iron Shiek, who put Hulk Hogan in the Camel Clutch, broke his back, and made him humble.  I'm just throwing that out there for you resin guys to make happen, just don't forget to give me credit or I will suplex you to death.  I don't know how many suplexes it takes to kill a man, but don't make me find out!

Back to business.  How friggin cute are these Micro Busters?  Usually everyone who made figures of this dude made him gigantic, but look how awesome he looks with his big ol head in miniature.  I love these so much I'm gonna go ahead and say they are my favorite tribute piece to the Avengers films that I have ever seen.  Go ahead and write that down in your book of feelings cause I said it!  There are 6 different colorways in this collaborative resin figure from Playful Gorilla and Dads Cartoons.  Each figure stands a little under 2 inches tall and will be only $20 including free worldwide shipping.  Free worldwide shipping?  They're accountants must be losing their minds right now!  They will only be available from http://playfulgorilla.storenvy.com starting Friday, January 29th.

Arsenal of Artists "No Toon Left Behind" Group Show at Suburban Vinyl This Saturday

Do kids watch cartoons anymore?  I remember looking forward to Saturday mornings all week, not just because I didn't have to go to school, but because all of the best shows were on then.  Not that I have kids of my own mind you, but I picture them today glued to their smart phones and being consumed with auditions for the next season of Teen Mom.  Kids are the devil.

Arsenal of Artists wants us to remember the simpler times, when the minds of children were more focused on Scooby Doo and less on being emotionally stunted by the internet.  Playful Gorilla and Cash Cannon have put together a massive group show called "No Toon Left Behind" that celebrates the innocence of waking up early on your day off as a youngster and being glued to the tv.  Just look at the list of artists participating:

Thank you to whoever made this graphic cause I would have gotten a blister trying to type all of those names.  This thing is taking place on Saturday at Suburban Vinyl in New Jersey and from the amount of work that will be on display I'm wondering if they had to expand just to fit it all in there.  Find out for yourself while taking a sweet nostalgia trip.

Friday the 13th Tees and Toy Giveaway from Playful Gorilla

Toy Viking fact of the day:  Friday the 13th is my favorite horror movie series.  It's got the right amount of camp (pun intended) and a really cool bad guy with series mommy issues.  What's not to like?  And he rids the world of annoying teenagers.  If Jason really wanted to do us a solid he'd bail on that run down camp site and hang out at the mall.

You see that custom toy up there?  I know you want it, cause I want it and I'm full of good ideas.  The only way you can get it is to order one or both of these tees from Playful Gorilla:

My favorite one is the Bloody Hell version, but that's cause I'm a sociopath (I'm kidding...or am I?).  The 8 Bit Nightmare one is cool too though, as it and the figure are based on the classically-terrible NES game.  And you wanna talk about a range of sizes:  you can get these from onesies (for babies ya weirdo) all the way up to 5XL.  And you get a free sticker.  And the shirts are $20 each or both of them for $36 with free shipping in the US.  And each tee you buy gives you one entry to win the figure.  And they go on sale this Friday, which just happens to be the 13th.
