Punkstar Frenzies from Tokidoki

Ok, I like these guys a lot, especially the black metal dude looking all kvlt, but I do have a beef. These little guys, kinda like the Marvel ones tokidoki released last year, are zipper pulls. Not that that's the worst thing in the world, but I never know how to display them. If I use them as they are intended then the paint is eventually gonna rub off and I'll be upset. But if I don't use them then how do I show them off around the house? This is a conundrum that is eventually going to give me an ulcer. I just don't feel that I can win.

There are 20 different rockers for you to collect and they come blind boxed for $5.95 each. Maybe you can help me with ideas on what to do with them and then I'll get some.

Super Alloy Batman Figure from Play Imaginative

Holy crap how amazing is this toy? And it was made by Play Imaginative, who are better known for their vinyl art toys. This Batman figure was designed by Jim Lee and that shiny finish is due to the fact that it is 85% die cast metal. There are 50 points of articulation (even the fingers move) and it stands a full foot high. Now to make you a tiny bit sad. If you don't live in Singapore or have a really good friend that will help you get one, you're going to have a hard time getting one of these. Right now you can preorder the figure from the Play Imaginative retail store or you can get one at the Singapore Toy, Game, and Comic Convention in September. Unfortunately those are you're only 2 options. If you have some vacation time and some extra money it could be a fun adventure.

Cherry Gumdrop by 64 Colors

Whatcha doin on Wednesday? If you're not going to be near a computer you should amend your plans so you can snag one of these adorable, wooden pups. These hand made doggies are from the minds of 64 Colors and you need one. But not if you have termites, cause no wood munching bugs could resist nibbling on this little guy. You have one day to get an exterminator to your place.

The Toy Viking x Jinxed Philly Custom Show Wrap Up Extravaganza Party Something or Other

I want to start off by saying thanks to everyone who came out to see the Munnyworld Custom Show that we put on with Jinxed. At one point there was actually a line of people waiting to see the toys and that blew my mind. And I definitely want to thank Jinxed and all of the artists that were able to contribute. And I'd like to thank my therapist, my cat groomer, my accountant, and my gardener. Just kidding, they were of no help whatsoever.

So if you weren't able to attend, I forgive you, and since we took a ton of pictures, you can pretend like you were there with us. Check out our Instagram @TheToyViking or our Facebook page www.facebook.com/TheToyViking and look at all the amazing work. And if you're interested in purchasing any of the toys click on the Jinxed logo to the right for their online store.

Justice League x Korejanai Figures

These guys are pretty wacky. This is of course the Justice League and they have been redesigned in the style of Kore Ja Nai, which means "this is not it". I have no idea how it came about, but I always enjoy when familiar characters are presented in a new way. For some reason they have wheels on their backs, which I suppose helps them save on gas, or something. Who knows. But I like them and if you do too you can get them from the folks at Kotobukiya who were nice enough to import them from Japan. Preorder your set of 2 and 1/2 inch tall figures by going here.

Custom Toy Event of the Week

If you didn't know about this, now you do. It's gonna be an awesome show with crazy custom toys made by crazy custom folks. Many of the artists will be there and they will be upset if you don't come. And so will I. No one wants to see me cry in public.

The show starts at 6pm at Jinxed in Philadelphia. Come say hi.

Halo Figures from 3A

3A make some of the most beautiful toys in the world but I rarely have a chance to write about them. They are like a world unto themselves and by the time I hear anything they are long sold out. But I actually got a tip about these, so read fast and then go preorder yours from the Bambaland store.

What we have here are two ridiculously detailed Spartans from the Halo video game series. They stand nearly 14 inches tall and are loaded with fiber optics, magnets, mini weapons, and other plastic magic that will blow your mind. I mean just look at them. Now all that awesomeness doesn't come cheap, as each of these space soldiers will run you $200. You will regret it for the rest of your life if you have the slightest interest in these and you don't buy them.
