Serial 13 from Broken Pidgeon

I knew C-3PO was gonna snap.   R2-D2 just kept pushing with the insults and there's only but so much a protocol droid can take before he turns to violence.  Broken Pidgeon has captured the moment when things went really really bad with this Serial 13 figure.  This resin toy releases today to commemorate Friday the 13th and can be had for only $20 by going to http://brokenpigeon.bigcartel.com/.

Toy Art Gallery 4th Anniversary Custom Show featuring Paul Kaiju's Pollen Kaiser

Toy Art Gallery has got to be one of the coolest places on Earth.  If you're into designer toys, it's like visiting the Great Pyramid, but without the risk of getting killed during political turmoil.  To celebrate their fourth anniversary, they sent out a bunch of Paul Kaiju's Pollen Kaiser figures for artists to customize.  The results are pretty sick and you can check out my favorite ones if you scroll down farther.  The opening reception for the show is tomorrow night from 7-10pm and the show will be on display through October 13th.

New Art Prints from K. Olin Tribu

Normally when I write about K. Olin Tribu its to tell you about some crazy porcelain sculpture that they're creating with one of your favorite toy designers.  But our French friends are branching out and now offering art work you can hang on your walls.  Available now on their website, you can pick up work from Yoskay Yamamoto, Favry, Slava Nesterov, Gulec Ali, Bioworkz, and Agleb Kirenkov.  Now you can finally replace that Scarface poster that you think makes you look like a gangster.   It doesn't.

The Grump from UME Toys

I've managed to stay alive this long by adhering to a few simple rules:

1.)  Don't eat vegetables.  Vegetables are nothing but propaganda fueled by the farming industry.  And they taste like crap.

2.)  Accept the fact that all women are born dangerous.

3.)  Never trust anyone wearing a potato sack on their head.

Number 3 shouldn't surprise anyone really.  When have you seen a guy with a burlap hood out helping old ladies across the street?  Never, because they usually have a machete in one hand and a severed head in the other.

The Grump may make me modify my thinking slightly, as he's kinda cute.  He may be just a miniature serial murder in training, but at only 3 and 1/2 inches tall the worst he could do is bite your little finger.  UME Toys have made 13 of these to be released, coincidentally I'm sure, tomorrow Friday the 13th.  He releases at 9am GMT at http://umetoys.bigcartel.com/.

Breaking Bad Pink Teddy Bear Eye Keychain from Mezco

Maybe I've been a little obsessed with Breaking Bad recently.  My wife and I powered through the entire series in two weeks and are now completely up to speed with the new episodes.  We added it up and we watched two days worth of television.  Two days!!!!!  It was worth it though as it is the greatest  show I've ever seen.  And it's proven helpful in real life too, as I remind my coworkers who piss me off that I could get a giant plastic barrel and a couple bottles of acid and fix any disagreement we may have.  Suddenly, I seem to be getting my way more and more.

I am more stoked about this keychain than any other keychain that's ever existed.  Even more so than that Spuds McKenzie one I begged my mom to buy me when I was little.  I didn't care that is said Bud Light on it, I just liked the dog.

(This is the exact one I convinced her to get me that just went unsold on eBay.  For some reason I was not allowed to take it to school.)

Mezco will have this pink teddy bear eye available at New York Comic Con in October.  If you can't go they do have a limited amount available to order through their website.  And it's only $7.47!!!!! I'm guessing the price is based on the Boeing 747s that crashed together and dropped this guy and other debris into Walter White's pool.  I told you I'm a bit obsessed.

New Christmas Pop! Vinyl from Funko

I have a confession to make.  It wasn't until last year that I had seen A Christmas Story from start to finish.  That doesn't mean I don't watch it every year when that one cable channel runs it for 24 hours straight, it's just that I always catch it half way through.  I'll watch it from wherever it happens to be until the end and then I'm good.  So I actually made the effort last season to watch it from the beginning and now I can cross that goal off my list.

Funko is making your Christmas decorations a lot cooler with these new Pop! Vinyl figures from A Christmas Story and A Nightmare Before Christmas.  You can even be lazy and leave them out year round and no one will call you on it, unlike those lights that you try to repurpose for every holiday.  I'm sorry, but President's Day does not need to be that festive.  All of these dudes are available now wherever you buy toys.

Friday the 13th Tees and Toy Giveaway from Playful Gorilla

Toy Viking fact of the day:  Friday the 13th is my favorite horror movie series.  It's got the right amount of camp (pun intended) and a really cool bad guy with series mommy issues.  What's not to like?  And he rids the world of annoying teenagers.  If Jason really wanted to do us a solid he'd bail on that run down camp site and hang out at the mall.

You see that custom toy up there?  I know you want it, cause I want it and I'm full of good ideas.  The only way you can get it is to order one or both of these tees from Playful Gorilla:

My favorite one is the Bloody Hell version, but that's cause I'm a sociopath (I'm kidding...or am I?).  The 8 Bit Nightmare one is cool too though, as it and the figure are based on the classically-terrible NES game.  And you wanna talk about a range of sizes:  you can get these from onesies (for babies ya weirdo) all the way up to 5XL.  And you get a free sticker.  And the shirts are $20 each or both of them for $36 with free shipping in the US.  And each tee you buy gives you one entry to win the figure.  And they go on sale this Friday, which just happens to be the 13th.
