Gary Ham x Freak Store Fonzo Figure

Gary Ham has teamed up with Freak Store to create a killer version of their mascot Fonzo. He is 6 inches tall, adorable, and also comes in a chase color way. Only 200 of the ones pictured were made and should be on sale next week. There also looks like there may be a DIY version as well so you can draw on him and your mom can tell you how proud she is of your art work.

tokidoki Cactus Rockers

Philaaaaaaaaaadelphiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa are you ready to ROCK? You better be cause these guys aren't gonna be playing any wussy Nickelback songs that's for sure. Cactus suits are metal, cutting your nose off and only putting a band aid over the hole is metal, and looking this angry is certainly metal.
These are the Cactus Rockers from tokidoki. The blue one is limited to only 400 pieces and will cost $39.95, while the red one will be $29.95. Both stand 6 inches tall and will be available next month.

Peter Kato's Blue Harvest Sale

I'm a sucker for a good theme.  I love themed restaurants and theme parks just a little bit cause let's be honest, those rides are trying to kill you.  Really, I just like that someone put that much thought into something to have a common thread present is every aspect.  With that in mind I present to you Peter Kato's Blue Harvest Sale.  Starting tomorrow on his website you can buy special edition blue versions of all of his figures at really low prices.  These guys are all hand made and all would look amazing sitting next to your tv as you watch the Stanley Cup Finals.  Get 'em tomorrow the 31st at 5pm Eastern time.

Jesse Hernandez x Kuso Vinyl Death Serpent

Jesse Hernandez packs so much detail into his toys that I've noticed things years after acquiring them that I didn't see at first. Sometime's I think it's because I suffer from a massive case of adult ADHD and I can't pay attention long enough without my mind wandering to bunnies, or the Republican Party. But I also think it's because the man is just so freakin' talented that his toys are able to be continuously fresh.

Jesse has teamed up with Kuso Vinyl to produce what may possibly be the coolest toy he's ever made. This is the Death Serpent, or Miquitzticoatl, and this dude is sick. Even though he would scare away anything that even thought about crossing him, he still comes with a spear and shield just in case someone isn't smart enough to run. No word on a price or release date yet but since pictures of the sculpt are floating around online I'm sure it will be soon.

SDCC Exclusive City Hunter Predator from N.E.C.A.

Predator 2 was awesome. For one, Danny Glover was the main character and he wasn't playing with these alien rednecks. And Tool guitarist Adam Jones worked on the special effects, which may or may not end up being a question on Jeopardy! one day. Now N.E.C.A. is reliving all of these cinematic memories with this City Hunter Predator. This clear trophy collector will be a San Diego Comic Con exclusive and he even comes with a skull to help decorate his little space in your home. It will go well with all the furniture he already ordered from Ikea.

Triclops B.A.S.T.A.R.D. Sale

You know what are nearly impossible to find that I used to have a truck full of? M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. It was ridiculous how into those little things I was. The best part about them was trying to collect all the wacky characters in every possible color. It was my first experience with the same toys being released in a multitude of hues and now just about everything I collect comes in many different versions.

Triclops has managed to make those figures even crazier and now they're selling their remaining stock of them for the cheap. If you wanna add some of these 2 inch characters to your collection all you have to do is pick out which ones from the picture above, email the selections to info@triclops.co.uk, and then all the monies will be exchanged through Paypal. It's so simple one of my cats just ordered 13 of them.

Skelechub Mini Blind Boxes from We Become Monsters

These actually went on sale yesterday, but I was stuck slaving away for the man and didn't have a chance to tell you about them. But now that I have a break from my labors, I wanna get you on the Skelechub bandwagon. These creepy little dudes are hand made in resin by We Become Monsters, stand 2 inches tall, and are only $12 per blind box. Get 'me before they're sold out and you are sad. I don't want you to be sad.

Happy Mini Labbits from Kozik x Kidrobot

What's going on here? Has Kozik's adorable troop of bunnies given up their nicotine-fueled addictions? It sure seems that was in his new Happy Labbits Mini Series from Kidrobot. A few of them even seem to be concerned about the quality of the air around them, donning gas masks as they make their way through rabbit life. Others have taken up a liking for ice cream, carrots, soda, and 70's style mustaches that would be the envy of most hockey players. This assortment will be available June 7th in blind boxed form for $4.95 each.

Axeface Resin Figures from Monstrehero

If you were riding the subway and these guys happened to step onto the train with you, it would probably be in your best interest to get off at the next stop.  They don't look like they can be reasoned with and you'll be lucky if all they do is steal your wallet.  These are Axefaces and were created by Monstrehero to pillage your village.  I really like that red and black one on the right, as he really embodies how evil these guys look.  According to their website, these may or may not be available this weekend, so keep your eyes on http://www.monstrehero.com/ and get ready to snag one of these colorful marauders.

Custom Toy of The Week: Alison Perez and Zukie

Can you ever have enough toys for artists to showcase their creative abilities on?  I don't think so and neither does Alison Perez who has just released her new DIY platform toy Zukie.  She's been making these guys by hand forever and then decided one day to have him factory produced in vinyl so everyone could have a crack at making their own unique version.  Zukie just went on sale today and is only $9.95.  He's 4 inches tall and as you can tell from the pictures, has a lot of surface area for your designs.  Get him now by going to http://zukie_art.storenvy.com/.

Living Dead Dolls Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Well, I suppose if that whole Mayan nonsense about the end of the world turns out to be true it might be in our best interest to make friends with these guys before it happens.  That cryptic image above is the new Living Dead Dolls Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse series.  For about $100 you get the whole set of these bringers of the end times.  Each come with the needed accessories to ensure the suffering of mankind and they also have little hobby horses to make travel that much easier.  Look for this doomsday gang in November from Mezco.

10-Doh Blind Box Series for San Diego Comic Con

I'm glad these guys are getting the mini figure treatment, because I want to like them more but for some reason the bigger versions just don't do it for me.  I don't know what it is, but upon hearing they were now doing an entire series of 3 and 1/2 blind box versions, I got excited.   They'll be much easier to display and will look really cool when you get a bunch of them together.  And the roster of artists they gathered together is pretty impressive as well.  Kozik, Doktor A, Jesse Hernandez, and a bunch more that we all know and love have lent their talents to updating these classic Nintendo cartridges.  This series will debut at San Diego Comic Con and will sell for $10 each.  You can check out Kozik's design below:

San Diego Comic Con Exclusive Godzilla

Seriously, if a monster is going to destroy everything you own, you're gonna want it to be Godzilla.  The guy's been around forever and no one will take the care to ensure utter destruction that he will.

This fiery version of everyone's favorite giant reptile is an exclusive for this year's San Diego Comic Con.  The packaging is pretty cool too, as it depicts him destroying the convention and sending all of us nerds running for our lives.

Maybe he was just upset that the tickets sold out so quickly and he didn't have access  to a computer when they went on sale.

Loki Movie Masterpiece Figure from Hot Toys

If I were to buy this, would he try and lead my cats astray with his mouthful of deceit? Loki is looking pretty cool here in this Hot Toys Masterpiece Series, but that's how he gets you. When dealing with the eternal trickster you have to assume everything about him is meant to bring about your demise. You can preorder him now for $220 and he will ship in December, which is just in time for him to con you out of all your presents. You better buy the Thor figure as well just to keep this guy in line. My kitties already have all the bad influences they need with all the tv they watch.

Lenore in Vinyl

Usually collecting dead things is not the best plan. After awhile your house will start to smell like I imagine those on Hoarders do and that will just be the tip of the iceberg that is the end of your social life. But in this case, you probably won't become a complete leper in the eyes of your friends.

This is Lenore and can you believe that she has been around for 20 years already? To celebrate Diamond Select Toys has created this 8 inch vinyl figure capturing her in all her decomposing glory. No word on an exact release date, but I'll let you know when I find out.

Shawnimals Presents Rainbow Takeout

You know what this world needs in our time of economic uncertainty? We need plus hides and we need them on the cheap! Who else could answer the call but Shawnimals and what could be more plushy and awesome than pork dumplings? Now, I don't recommend hitting up the old buffet and snuggling the real thing, but I entirely encourage you to buy a boatload of these little guys and fill your bathtub with them. What happens beyond that is your business, but it would be an awesome start.

Shawnimals presents the Rainbow Takeout series, which feature a plethora of colors for you to collect. For $18 you get 3 randomly chosen 2 inch dumplings in a little take out box. This is an open release, so you can buy all you want all the time. Get 'emright now by going here.

Parra x Kidrobot

This toy makes me mildly uncomfortable. I think what's doing it, other than the fact that the blue guy appears to be a vampire and drinking the red chick's blood, is the giant red monkey butt. It brings back all of the memories I have of going to the zoo and some inappropriate monkey doing something equally inappropriate to live up to his billing. And they're so proud of their hairless butts and want to make sure that no matter when you take a picture, their bare hind parts are prominently featured. Curse you monkeys and how you lure us in with your cuteness, only to shock us with your horrid behavior.

This toy was made by Parra, stands 10 inches tall, and was made in conjunction with Kidrobot. It's $150 and comes out June 7th. I can honestly tell you it's not my cup of tea, but if you like it that's ok and we can still be friends. I just might not come over to your house for book club anymore.

Kotobukiya Batman The Dark Knight Rises ARTFX Statue

If this doesn't make you excited for the return of Batman this summer, you should a.) hopefully have health insurance and b.) use it to check yourself into the hospital cause you might be clinically dead. This ARTFX statue from The Dark Knight Rises is made by the folks at Kotobukiya, which loosely translates to "we make toys that you would sell your first born to obtain". This thing is huge too, standing at 15 inches tall. That's a lot of Batman so you're probably gonna have to get rid of your Gone With the Wind collectible plates to make room. I know it's gonna be tough, but you do have some time to man up, since this figure doesn't come out until November.

Futurama x Kidrobot Wooden Bender

People have been clamoring for Kidrobot to make more Futurama toys and now they can all sleep tonight with this reveal of Wooden Bender. His little woodpecker buddy is out of luck, cause this angry robot bro is actually made of vinyl, but that hasn't stopped the little guy from rooting around for bugs. On June 7th you can add some futuristic bad attitude to your shelves for only $50. Oh, and he's 6 inches tall, so he's a lot bigger then the Futurama figures of yore.

The Deep Things from Skinner

Oh, snap.  Skinner is back at it with these minions of Cthulhu called The Deep Ones.  He's been paying tribute to the great H.P. Lovecraft for a few releases thus far, but this is my absolute favorite one yet.  Obviously modeled after the creatures that live in the NYC subway tunnels (you can't tell me they're not lurking around, feeding on rats and medical waste) each figure stand 6 inches tall and will cost ya $100.  They go on sale Monday, May 21st at noon right here:  http://www.storenvy.com/products/361506-the-deep-things.

Custom Toy of the Week: Peter Kato

Normally when I post about a custom toy it usually involves someone making an enhancement to something that already exists, so this week I thought I'd mix it up a bit and focus on an artist who makes everything from scratch.  These are the newest releases from Peter Kato, entitled The Goldies.  These little resin figures are all handmade and at only $10 each, are an easily affordable edition to your collection.  Help support independent toy makers by picking up a few of these right now at http://peterkatoshop.com/.

MAD x Pobber Toys Dr. Morkenstein Pajama Edition

To truly understand the mind of an evil genius, it is important to see them in their bed clothes.  Ok, so maybe that's not entirely true, but it does give insight into whether they are straddling that line that separates crazy and brilliant.  Check out MAD's Dr. Morkenstein in his younger days, ready for bed and dreams of world domination.  This guy was made by the fine folks at Pobber Toys and will be going on sale next week.  There will only be 150 pieces made of the good doctor doing his best Hugh Hefner impersonation, and they will be $65 each.  Oh, and his pj's come complete with a bum flap for doing his evil business.  I for one have never required the use of a trap door in my pants, nor do I fully grasp the benefits of it, but they are fun to laugh about.

Maxx Edition Spikewad at Kapow! Comic Convention

For all of you folks lucky enough to live in London and even luckier to go to the Kapow! Comic Convention....well....you're lucky.  Mostly because London is a pretty cool place and comic conventions are like nerd Valhalla, but also because of this MAXX Edition Spikewad from Jeffrey Lamm and Unbox Industries.  Painted to look like the trippy cartoon that used to air on MTV (back in the day before all they cared about was teen pregnancy and morons at the beach)  this guy is sure to be limited, so if you're going you better hunt him down ASAP.

Batman Arkham City Series 3 Figures

Arkham City just continues to rake in the money. I got the game and got all the cool download content. Now they have the Harley Quinn expansion that I have to buy. And did I even mention all the other cool stuff, like action figures? This is the third series of toys from the game and now just about every character has been transformed from pixels to plastic.

Of course they have to make another Batman figure, but you can also add The Penguin, Azrael, Ra's Al Ghul, and two different clown henchmen to your ever growing collection. These will be available September 19th, so now you have something to make you happy after the Summer ends. I'm just looking out for ya.

New Release from The Sucklord

So what are you doing this Friday? If you didn't say attending the premiere of The Toy Lords of Chinatown Episode 3 then you're night is gonna suck. I just don't want you to get your hopes up if you're not going, cause your plans are weak.

This Friday from 9-10pm at The Producer's Club in NYC you could be in the company of The Sucklord himself as he unveils his latest cinematic masterpiece. And since he makes toys for a living, do you think he's not gonna have something killer to sell you? Well he does, and it's a special edition Sucktrooper and I want one. Sadly, I can't make it to the event Friday because I am lame, but there will be some on his website Saturday for all of the bums like me. Get yours by going to http://suckadelic.com/.

Cream Filled Foster from Super7

A cookie eating a cookie could be considered a crazy metaphor for life. But since I don't do drugs all I can think of is cannibalism. And if I was a cookie I'd wanna know what all the fuss was about. "Oh, am I as delicious as they say"? If I was a cookie, could I get a cavity from eating my sugary self? The universe is mind blowing.

Foster is getting the answer to the delicious question and might share his weird cookie-cannibal secrets with you if you buy him. He'll be available tomorrow at noon Pacific time from Super7 for $35.

Alice Femme Fatale From Diamond Select Toys

Normally I make it's point to ignore women covered in blood and carrying kitchen knives. If you give them attention you're just reinforcing the behavior and they'll always thinks its ok to act this way. Plus, they'll probably want you to buy them shoes cause that's what all girls with crazy eyes want.

Behold Alice, from American McGee's game of the same name. And you thought Wonderland was a freaky place before! This 9 inch PVC statue will be available this fall from the nice people at Diamond Select Toys. Maybe in time for New York Comic Con? We'll have to wait and see.

Disney Star Wars Weekends Exclusive Vinylmation Figures

Star Wars Weekends are starting in a few days at all the Disney theme parks and you know they would have to have some figures that I can't live without. It is our curse, as toy collectors, to be tormented at every turn by new things that seem unattainable. Thankfully, with the magic of the Internet and people looking to make a quick buck, I'm sure I'll be able to piece this set together.

I present to you the latest Vinylmation/Star Wars figures. This time they have popular Disney characters dressed like the folks from the films, which is ok I suppose. I'm not really a Disney fan, but I love Star Wars enough to need these pretty badly.
