New Tara McPherson Dunny on the Way?

Tara McPherson is by far one of my favorite artists. There's just something about her work that I love and I get really really excited whenever I see she has a new toy coming out. So you can imagine how I felt when I was just minding my own business, checking out my Instagram, and this picture popped up. Kidrobot shared this with the world yesterday and the speculation has been nuts. Is it one figure with a dual colored face? Are there two figures? What size are they gonna be? How can I con someone into getting them for me? The big rumor is that these are 2 different designs that will be featured as 20 inch Dunnys. Which is cool, but the average price of such a large figure is $400, so I fear I'm gonna have to live without them. But nothing is confirmed yet, so I'll just have to hope these come in a more compact/ affordable size.

Peter Kato's Avengers Inspired Resin Figures

Ooooooooooh you better go right now and get one of these. I love this Hulk inspired Turtle Tetsujin from Peter Kato and he captured the character brilliantly on his signature toy. Only 8 of them exist in the world and they're $20 each. And as you can see to his left, he also has a little buddy that is on sale right now as well. He's a gamma soldier and you can have him for only $5. Again, there are only 8 of the available, so go right now to http://peterkatoshop.com/ and get some of these awesome handmade toys.

Noferin Presents the Jibibuts Artists Series

I love these toys. I love them cause not only are they cute (I have feelings sometimes) but they are made entirely of wood!! These guys are called Jibibuts and they have been sprung from the mind of Noferin. What really makes me unique is that a ton of artists have added their touches to really give these guys a dose of personality. Buff Monster, 64 Colors, and Squink are but a few of the people you'll find in this series. And if for some reason you were to lose your mind one day and bury them in your flower bed (next to Aunt Jenny) then fear not, because they will biodegrade. I just thought that was a fun fact for you guys. Not sure when these come out, but I'll tell you when I do.

Mattel Exclusives for San Diego Comic Con

Unfortunately, I am not among the lucky folks that will be attending this year's San Diego Comic Con. While I would love to go, I was forced today to spend a whole lot of money to ensure my car would have the ability to come to a complete stop. It would make it slightly harder to collect toys with my face wrapped around a tree, so I caved and had the work done. But my loss is your gain, because now you'll have one less person to compete with for all of the exclusive stuff. Mattel has been nice enough to show us some of what they will have available in California this year, and there seems to be a little something for every taste.

My favorite reveal is this staue of Neil Gaiman's Death. She's gonna be $25 bucks and comes perched atop a pretty cool skull base.

If you like your toys a bit cuter, then these Tiny Titans are for you. For $20 you get all 5 of these little dudes and their display stand.

"There is no Dana, only Zuul". My wife is tired of this quote, as I routinely find other words to substitute for "Dana". There are no doughnuts, there is no "stop being annoying", there is no "can we watch Murder She Wrote". Old Zuul will run ya $25.

OMG we're back to the cute segment of this post. These are Polly Pocket figures dressed as villians from Gotham City. This 3 pack will be $19.99.

And finally we have Vykron, from Masters of the Universe. I don't know too much about this guy's story, but he's $30 and looks pissed.

Dunny 2012 from Kidrobot Revealed

It happens every year. How it happens only a few folks would know, but it does. Each year there is a "leak" of the next series of Dunnys well before Kidrobot announces them. Is there a mole? Is it a ploy of the marketing department? Hard to say, but here is what you have to look forward to when they are released later this year. There is a nice mix of the artists we all expect to be involved, such as Tara McPherson, MAD, and Triclops. But there's also a lot of Dunny newbies, like Jon-Paul Kaiser, Sergio Mancini, and Nakanari. Hopefully the official release date will be announced soon, cause I'm ready to increase the size of my collection ASAP.

Shawnimals Remmy Ninja

All of you know about my cats, cause I talk about them like the proud papa I am. But I love all animals, and when I hear about something tragic involving someone's furry friend it really hits home. Shawnimals has a pup named Remmy who was attacked and seriously injured. Remmy is doing a lot better, but as anyone knows, vet bills pile up and are very very expensive. To help ease the financial burden Shawnimals has created this special edition Remmy Ninja plush. This will be available May 2nd for only $20 and some of the proceeds will also be donated to help build a local dog park. Get your own little Remmy by going to: http://shop.shawnimals.com/.

Ron English x Chris Brown? Are You Kidding Me?

I was gonna tell you about the new Ron English toy that he made in collaboration with Chris Brown. But since that is pretty dumb, I decided instead to share this picture of my cat Icarus. He has never hit a woman before, but he does enjoy licking my wife's teeth while she's asleep.
