Bevil from Paul Shih

So what happens when vegetables go bad? I'm talking beyong just moldy and rotten, but downright evil. If you leave your broccoli unsupervised it could become influenced by dark forces turning it into pure evil. The results of such a transformation can be seen above in the form of a new toy by Paul Shih. This little guy looks more likely to eat you than the other way around. He's still a work in progress but me thinks he will be unleashed upon the world fairly soon. I knew healthy food was out to get me and now I finally have proof. Take that mom!

Popil Art x Toy2r Mini Qee

I'm a big fan of the Qee platform figure. It is the first designer toy I ever bought many moons ago ad it will always hold a special place in my heart. Now they have these Mini Qees, which I really like cause they don't take up much room (yeah, that's something I have to consider now that my house is pretty much over run) and at only $28 you get a cool toy for a nice price. I also like the Qee platform because Toy2r is not afraid to allow a large range of artists to add their interpretation to this classic figure.

This new figure is appropriately titled "Girls" and was created by Popil Art. This will be out at the end of July for you to add to your nekkid girl toy collection. You know you have one.

Ziqi x Creo Design Unleash QiQi

Well, these guys are down right adorable. This is QiQi and he is the brain child of artist Ziqi and Creo Design. He stands 3 inches tall and is ready for you to take him on adventures wherever you go. The best thing about QiQi is that he is as affordable as he is cute. The gloss black and gloss red versions are $12.50 each and the matte red version is only $10. It's nice to see a quality product at a good price at a time when toy costs are skyrocketing. Get yours right now by going to http://creodesign.storenvy.com/.

More N.E.C.A. SDCC Exclusives

Oh, San Diego Comic Con, how I would love to grace your hallowed halls and have you rob me blind. The amount of cool exclusive toys is mind blowing and N.E.C.A. have unveiled 2 more figures they're bringing with them to the west coast. They've got black and white versions of both Ash and Freddy that will be available to convention goers. Will they have more stuff with them in an effort to make you part with your cash? I would bet on it.

Custom Toy of the Week: Stuart Witter

Yeah, I loves me some Star Wars.  And I loves me some vinyl toys.  And I loves me some typing like I'm a hillbilly about to leave for his moonshine run in the mountains of West Virginia.  This amazing custom Stormtrooper is by Stuart Witter.  He utilized the new Dude platform toy from Dudebox as the base for this galactic police bro who seems to be in love with fast food.  I think this is what would have happened if they cloned Michael Moore instead of Jango Fett in the movies.  Check out more from Stuart by going to http://www.stuartwitter.com/

Jeff Lam x Unbox Industries Brainfreeze Spikewad

Jeff Lam and Unbox Industries don't suck.  You want proof?  Cause every time I turn around they make something new that I want and that is proof that they're good people.  This is the Brainfreeze colorway of the uber popular Spikewad figure.  This guy is an exclusive for Nakama Toys and is available right now for $45.  He looks a bit chilly.

Kidrobot Dunny 2012 Series Releases June 21st

I am officially excited that the time has come yet again for me to spend all my money, sit on the floor, and open a ton of new toys with folks that are just as obsessed as I am.  That's right, the Dunny 2012 Series from Kidrobot releases June 21st and as per usual I will be parking my behind at Jinxed in Philadelphia and pretending it's Christmas morning.  I've been doing the whole trading party thing for a few releases now and it is a really interesting experience if you've never done it.  You get new toys, get to meet new people, and you can trade away all the old doubles you've accumulated.  It's like a social flea market, but with less taxidermy.

If you're in the Philadelphia area you can come and barter for toys with me or you can check out a shop that's closer to you.  Either way make sure you check out a trading event because it does add a whole other level of excitement to a blind box release.
