Pumpkin Seedlings from Taylored Curiosities

You would think recently that comic con was the only thing on my mind.  Well, that's mostly true cause I do look forward to it every year.  But this is a big world we live in and there's so much going on in the toy world that doesn't revolve around New York.  And being that the weather has gotten a bit chillier the past few days where I live, this seemed like a fitting time to show you these.

These are the latest in the ongoing Seedlings series from Taylored Curiosities and in keeping with the upcoming holiday, they are of the pumpkin variety.  These are all hand made and only 20 of them exist in the entire world.  You can snag one now for £10.00 by checking out http://tayloredcuriosities.bigcartel.com/.

More Sea-Borgs from Monster Pants to Debut at NYCC

Monster Pants has thus far had plenty of Sea-Borg dudes to show us, but what about the ladies?  Fear not, for the Sea-Borg Kings shall now have their Queens and be nagged into oblivion.  But these girls aren't content with just tormenting their husbands about their dirty laundry all over the house; they come packing heat.  Each one will be $25 and available first at the Monster Pants booth #3116 at New York Comic Con.   After that you can buy them in their webstore.

But you all know what happens when you get all the ladies:  you also get a bunch of people that want to ruin your good time.  These evil Invader figures are out to do just that.  The same release info applies to these awesome looking bad guys.

Custom Toy of the Week: Argonaut Resins Reveals Tuttz Custom Number 2 for NYCC

Wow.  Ok, that's really all I have to say about this.  This might be the greatest custom Tuttz I've ever seen.  This was made by Adam Pratt and Argonaut Resins will be selling this next week at New York Comic Con (booth #2479).  It will be $300, but this is hand made goodness we're talking about here.  Just stare at the pictures.  Go on.

Peter Kato at New York Comic Con

I was wondering what Peter Kato had been up to recently. I hadn't heard from him for awhile and got nervous that he grew a long beard and started a moonshine business in the Appalacian Mountains. Thankfully, he has just been making a crazy amount of toys for New York Comic Con! How much is a crazy amount? Enough to make this the most pictures I've ever had in a single blog post. Without further ado, let's check out all the stuff he'll have available for you next week.

That picture you see up top there:  those are Tako Cubes.  The red ones are the tough guys, ready to fight at a moment's notice.  The pink ones are the smart ones, they keep the Space Army running.  If you're going to be at NYCC they will be $10 each and afterwards they will be $15 at www.peterkatoshop.com.

These are a special collaboration Peter put together with Onell Designs utilizing their Glyos system.  These special heads are only $5 each so you can build your own crazy characters.

What's this?  Another collaboration piece?  This time Peter hooked up with Rampage Toys and made a ton of Micro Pachi Cakes.  They look like candy and I may be in danger of trying to taste one or two.

These are my new favorite toys from Peter.  They are awesome ninja robots with the rather terrible task of exterminating his popular Tetsujin chracters.  Ok, so they're not the nicest guys in the world, but they look really cool and as far as toys go that is more important.  These 3 inch tall bad guys will have a convention price of $20 and will be $25 afterwards from his website.  Fifty of these guys will be available.

But even rarer than those are the "Stark" versions.  Cast in Iron Man colors and limited to only 20 pieces, these will also be $20.

Now we've made it back into familiar territory.  Peter has taken some of his classic characters and made them in a cool rainbow mix of colors.  People had been emailing him and asking for these so he did a very very few of them.  Each one will be $10.

I told you there was a lot of stuff didn't I?  Well, we're nearing the end and we're gonna blow you're mind with these last few.  These clear figures are his special tribute to the one year anniversary of their debut.  Toy Tokyo will be selling these extremely limited figures at their booth and they will only be available at NYCC.  The larger Turtle Tetsujin figure will be $20 and the others will be $10.

Since it is New York COMIC Con you have to include some famous characters in the mix right?  Check out his Turtle Tetsujin figures doing their best Hulk and Iron Man impressions.  There's only 5 of each figure and they will be $20.

All of Peter's figures (except the clear ones) will be available at the Onell Designs booth #3216.

Nathan Hamill's Strife and Sire at NYCC

I'm posting about Tenacious Toys today like they're payin me (they're not cause I still can't figure out where to send the bill).  Every year Benny and crew invade New York Comic Con and do it up bigger and better than almost anyone else.  He's the hardest working man in toys and a good guy to boot so it makes me happy to see him get killer debuts like this.  These two guys are Strife and Sire and have sprung for from the brain of one Nathan Hamill.  NYCC will be the first time these two will be available to the world and you can take home one of the 150 pieces for $50.  Nathan will be at the Tenacious booth Friday at 3pm to sign them, take pictures, record voice mail messages, give investment tips, perform wellness checks, and just about anything else you can imagine.

Tenacious Toys x Dead Hand Toys Resin is King Series 2

Tenacious Toys and Dead Hand Toys have upped their game on this one.  The last Resin is King Series was awesome, but this one is just plain absurd in how more.....awesomer?...it is.  And how do you present something so cool to the masses?  Well, the best thing to do would be to throw a huge release party at Kidrobot's New York location tonight!!!!!!!!  That's right, from 6-8pm tonight you can mingle with many of the artist and get yourself some amazing hand made toys.  These guys will be blind boxed for $25 each or you can buy an entire case with one piece from each of the 16 participants for $400.  Check out the pictures below for a sampling of what you could walk away with.  Check out the Tenacious Toys website after the event for any leftovers.

Brutherford Industries CMYK Melt Knuckles

Would it shock you to know that these were made in New Jersey?  We have a bit of a reputation for being on the mean side, so it is fitting that these brass knuckles sprung from the depths of the Garden State.  Brutherford Industries has moved away from ice cream and onto something a little....tougher.  These CMYK Melt Knuckles go on sale today at noon eastern time for $40.  They even glow under blacklight, which could be fun for stoners or crime scene investigators.

But wait, what is this?  Did I speaketh too soon about his departure from the world of frozen concoctions?  I did indeed, as he has turned his now-famous Ice Scream Man into wearable art.  This thing is legit too, as it's made from 99.9% sterling silver and the cone is plated in 24k gold.  Like everything else Brutherford churns out, these are completely hand made.  For $75 you can finally get yourself a necklace that won't embarrass your friends.
