Moby Dick would have been the size of a pamphlet if Ahab had seen this dude from his boat. He would have immediately given up hunting whales, moved further inland, and become an accountant. By comparison it's not as compelling a story, and Herman Melville is not a name we would all know had he wrote that one instead.
