Blue Variant Devilman from Mike Sutfin x Unbox Industries x Mondo

I could go for sprouting a set of bat wings, as long as they were retractable and I could still sit comfortably.  I figure if I managed to have bat wings in the first place the same magic that gave them to me could also make them able to disappear adequately.  And also get rid of my fear of heights, otherwise I'd only be able to fly about as high as a regulation basketball rim before getting the shakes.    These are the things my brain forces me to consider when I know I have to be up in five hours and actually trying to fall asleep makes doing so impossible.

Mike Sutfin's beyond detailed and uber popular take on Devilman is now in it's third incarnation with this Mondo exclusive blue variant.  Produced by the vinyl elves at Unbox Industries, there was little warning about this release, as it makes its debut today, Tuesday May 22nd, at noon central time. Ugh, you guys are killing me with all this cool stuff right before Five Points Fest.  Snag one and dream of the freedom that a pair of leathery wings would give you by visiting www.mondotees.com.

Devilman Preorder from Mike Sutfin x Unbox Industries

I'll admit that my familiarity with the Devilman character lives and dies with the background video Rob Zombie played at a show sixteen years ago during the song "Super Charger Heaven".  That chorus makes you want to drop kick someone in the face.  But I've always thought the look of him was pretty crazy, that is until I saw Mike Sutfin's rendition you see hear, which blows any other version straight out of the water.  This dude has details on top of details, which then have more details that you didn't even notice the first time.  It's pure visual insanity, making the figure look like it has life, or death, flowing through every inch.  Pretty intense for a pice of plastic.

The folks at Unbox Industries produced this and have now made him available for preorder.  Standing at just over a foot tall and retailing for $120, you can secure yourself one right now by visiting http://store.unboxindustries.info.  These are scheduled to ship at the end of the month, so get to it.

Own the Final Battle Rat Colorway from Mike Sutfin

I always get a kick out of spotting a rat whenever Sharon and I are in New York.  Not only are they the most famous rats in the world, but it always surprises me to see wildlife in the city other than pigeons.  The ones you see are still kinda cute, even though they're covered in muck and would probably steal a hamburger from your kid's mouth while leaving behind a healthy dose of plague.  But you always wonder whats lurking around in the abandoned subway tunnels and sewers that people don't get to see.  Rats that have evolved beyond anything we would ever want to imagine.  Maybe they look something like this.

Mike Sutfin's Battle Rat is one bad rodent.  At least he gives off that air of badness by dragging that skull around.  It's pretty much the best method for conveying that you are not to be messed with.  You might want to leave it out of your profile pic on your dating website though.  It's best to wait until the third date to bring up your love for carting around the decapitated heads of your enemies.

This dude is the final colorway ever of this figure and is up for preorder right now at http://sutfin.bigcartel.com/.  He features some pretty intense paint techniques and you can interchange the heads to suit your moods.  And he's much safer than trying to tame one of those critters you find rifling through the trash in Manhattan.  You only make that mistake once.

Glow in The Dark MadBattleMan and BattleRat from Mike Sutfin

Sometimes you just need to buy something mean looking.  There's only but so much cuteness I can tolerate before I need to listen to Cannibal Corpse and hunt for skulls in the woods.  I'm watching the news the other day and they're talking about some little dude that wants to carry a My Little Pony backpack to school but they won't let him cause they're like "dude, people are gonna shove your head into the toilets so hard" and they're right.  I don't get kids anymore.  When I was little I wanted to be an archeologist so I could dig up ancient dead people and I wanted stuff with wrestling and GI Joe and Star Wars on it.

Ok, yeah I like cutesy things sometimes.  Like my cats, they're all pretty cute.  But you gotta have a balance there my friends.  This MadBattleMan and BattleRat from Mike Sutfin are the perfect things to add to your collection and celebrate your dark side.  And they glow in the dark too, like they're filled with some ancient spirits who are begging for you to release them.  Both are up for preorder right now at http://sutfin.bigcartel.com/.
