Bid on a Limited Edition Hip Hop Trooper Figure to Benefit Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

As toy collectors, our mentality is usually focused on acquiring as many cool things as we can fit into our living spaces.  And we spend a lot of money in the pursuit of those must-have pieces.  It's easy to get caught up in the process and lose sight of just how lucky each and every one of us is to be able to direct a portion of our lives towards our passion.  But as we all know there are much bigger issues in life than waiting for the mailman to deliver our newest figure.  Some people are waiting for a cure to be discovered before its too late.

Tenacious Toys has set aside a few of their Hip Hop Trooper exclusives from last New York Comic Con as a way to help fund research into various terminal illnesses.  Now you have the chance to own one of these limited toys with all the proceeds going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  There is an eBay auction happening not until Tuesday April 28th that you can bid on at this link.  Build your collection while helping donate to research that is so desperately needed.  Special thanks should also go to all the artists involved in creating this toy:  Kid Ink Industries, Jason Chalker, Small Angry Monster, and Sidekick Labs.

Battlesaurs from Small Angry Monster x Goodleg Toys

If this picture is not what the new Jurassic park movie is based on then I can guarantee I'll never see it.  This is why Hollywood sucks, because they'll never understand the need to have a big budget robot dinosaur movie.  They're so focused on remaking things that have already been successful that something this insane would probably send them into meltdown mode.  Who of you wouldn't go to see a movie with characters like this?  If we could mix in professional wrestling then we'd have an instant classic on our hands.

Movies will never be this cool, but thankfully we have the people at Goodleg Toys to keep the dream alive with their War on Prehis line of figures.  For these Battlesaurs they enlisted the help of Small Angry Monster to give them a super sick paint job.  These reptilian warriors go on sale Friday at 11pm GMT+1 (that's Berlin time) over at http://goodlegtoys.storenvy.com/.

The Big Push to Bring Little Maddie to Life

We're have officially one week left to go to make Little Maddie from Bigshot Toyworks a reality and there is still a lot of room to help and a lot of really cool rewards for doing so.  They've added the option to get a completely clear version of the figure that you can see here:

You can also pick up different customized versions of this Cthulhu-possessed horsey from the likes of Mark Nagata, Martin Hsu, Monster Kolor, Small Angry Monster, Nemo, and Mechavirus.  These will all be one of a kind so you'll have ultimate bragging rights if you snag one.  This is the first time I've ever personally backed a Kickstarter project and I really really want to see this thing succeed.  Not even just for me though, but for the people that have worked hard to create it.  Go to this link and help out any way you can.  Even if it's only a $1 you're still helping it get closer to goal.

New Custom Releases Tonight from Argonaut Resins

I recently got suckered into watching that show Downton Abbey that everyone has been going nuts about.  I thought I was gonna hate it and even after the first episode I wasn't sure.  But somehow it got it's aristocratic hooks deeply embedded in my brain and the wife and I ended up watching two season's worth in a few days.  I am completely obsessed and it's really been difficult to not go out and buy the third season.  Then I go to work and I'm talking about it and one of my coworkers says "Oh, I watched some of that show but I'm not sure which season it was, did you see when...spoiler removed...happened?"  No, no I hadn't actually you evil succubus of my televised enjoyment.  She couldn't have generalized it, noooooooooooooo, she had to give away a huge plot point.  This is why I don't carry a hammer around with me.  Well that and it would look silly.

These custom Argonaut Resins figures from Angella Powell make me think of the beautiful English countryside, large familial estates, and a time where it was not only cool but encouraged to marry your cousin.  Or they could be ultra hipsters, but why would I want to tarnish their adorableness with such horrid thoughts?  These, as well as all of the customs made by Small Angry Monster and END that you see below, will be going up for sale tonight at 9pm Eastern time at http://argonautresins.bigcartel.com/.

New Figures from Argonaut Resins x Small Angry Monster

My wife recently changed jobs so we had to change our health insurance as well.  Waiting for our new cards to come in the mail has been nerve wracking, as I've managed to injure myself no less than ten different times.  Each time I jab something sharp through my thumb (that was yesterday) or have Icarus slice me with his razor-sharp claws when we try to take him to the vet (that was last week) I wonder if this is the stupid way in which I will die.  How embarrassing would that be?  To die from a dirty piece of metal that went into my thumb because I don't have my health insurance cards yet.  As I lay on my death bed, rotting away from a wicked case of tetanus, I would take my last breath just as Sharon checks the mail and finds that envelope from Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Maybe they'll make a Lifetime movie about me.

I could probably use some armor plating just like these new figures from Argonaut Resins have.  Small Angry Monster did the customizing on these guys and they look pretty safe and secure, which is something I need to work on.  He also made these Cursed 8 inch Tuttz that look as if they were pulled straight from a pharaoh's tomb. The curse of the mummy is not included.  You will have a shot at owning one of the amazing toys you see here this Wednesday, June 26th, at 8pm Eastern time by going to http://argonautresins.bigcartel.com/.

Custom Tuttz from Small Angry Monster x Argonaut Resins On Sale Tonight

I like me some kitties.  I live with three real ones and have countless plastic ones.  If I lived in Game of Thrones my sigil would be a cat head with a viking helmet and crossed battle axes beneath it.  If you don't like cats you are probably in cahoots with Satan.

So of course I like these.  These Tuttz were made by Argonaut Resins and then fancied up by Small Angry Monster (aka Adam Pratt).  My absolute favorite is the one being built by the Egyptian workers. I got to see one similar to this one last year and it is even more impressive in person.  You could be the proud owner of these custom toys as they will be loaded into the Argonaut Resins webstore tonight at 10pm Eastern time.
