Aztec Inspired Marvel Busts from Jesse Hernandez x Unruly Industries

This.  More of this all the time.  I am sooooooooo tired of things like this not being the standard for a designer reinterpreting a licensed character.  The world certainly knows what everyone in the Marvel Universe looks like and I am beyond thrilled that they and Unruly Industries had the guts to let Jesse Hernandez run wild with these.  No one has ever see Wolverine or Iron Man look more bad ass then they do in these busts.  Seriously, I can't say enough good things about them.  These are are available for preorder right now by visiting https://www.sideshow.com/whats-new/.

Unruly Variant Edition Mictlan from Unruly Industries x Jesse Hernandez

Most of us will never get the chance for a second appearance after we are ushered into the after life by the God of Death.  This world will be but a distant memory as we cross over to what lies beyond.  Rising from the grave hasn't been made to look like an attractive proposal by Hollywood, but not all of those who come back are doomed to stumble around like its the parking lot after a Judas Priest concert.  Jesse Hernandez's Mictlan figure has lived one life before, but now with the help of Unruly Industries this Aztec reaper has reentered our world.

This vinyl figure is decked out in a blacklight reactive color scheme that is poised to trip you out while you're sampling grandma's glaucoma medication.  Standing at six inches tall this vinyl figure is limited to 750 pieces and available now by checking out this link.

Jesse Hernandez x Hydro74 Death Serpent Kidrobot Exclusive and Signing

This dude does not look like he's down to negotiate.  If you were out in the desert trying to find yourself before you went off to college and you see something like this you can kiss your dreams of academic achievement and frat parties goodbye.  This guy wants to take your soul and put it in a used jelly jar in his basement.  Then he'll probably decorate his house with your bones to impress the ladies.  Whose souls he will also take, but that's besides the point.  This is one bad looking dude.

Jesse Hernandez and Kuso Vinyl created the original Death Serpent figure but evidently decided he didn't look nearly menacing enough.  So they enlisted the help of Hydro74 to sprinkle some extra evil on him and this is the result.  This ghost edition of the figure is limited to 150 pieces and an exclusive to Kidrobot.  If you're lucky enough to live in the San Francisco area you can hang out with Jesse and get this toy on Saturday when he does a signing at the Kidrobot store there.  All the info you need is in the picture.  I do warn you though, that the rest of your toys may feel slightly inadequate next to this guy.

Spend Your Day at Toy Art Gallery Tomorrow

Toy Art Gallery and I have something in common:  we're both gonna be busy tomorrow.  They will most likely be having a much better time than I will as they are holding two events while I will be working for the man all day.  One day I will break these chains that oppress me!!!

From 1pm-3pm they will be holding a release and signing for this giant Jaguar Knight toy from Jesse Hernandez x Pobber Toys.  This is an exclusive red glow-in-the-dark version limited to 100 pieces.  And Facebook told me that it's also Jesse's birthday, so you should bring him snack cakes or envelopes of cash or something.

Then from 7pm-10pm they will have the opening for Super Cooper's Music To My Ears art show.  Super Cooper is like the Doogie Houser of the toy world, curating shows and amassing a collection that makes me jealous.  And the show will be benefitting a couple of charities, which is pretty awesome, so you can feel good about spending a little bit more to get some art that you'll love forever.

The Outland Store 8th Anniversary Party Exclusives and Signings

I'm continuing my anti-cute toys theme today with these two exclusives that were produce for The Outland Store's 8th Anniversary.  What's cute about a brain shaped like a skull?  Nothing.  In fact, it's pretty weird, but in the good way.  Not like the way people are weird on public transportation in rural areas.  When you live in a city, public transportation is a must and everyone uses it.  When you live out in the country, riding the bus is like attending a sideshow, or shopping at Wal-Mart.  You never know what kind of crazy things you will see or hear.  I have the same theory about people who ride bikes.  People riding bikes in the city are hipsters.  People riding bikes in the country are crack heads.  Just look next time you're out and about as my theory blossoms right before your eyes.  You're welcome.

Back to skull brain thingys.  Emilio Garcia made 8 of these limited red ones just for this event and he will be there to sign 'em too.  Pretty nifty.

Jesse Hernandez x Kuso Vinyl also made this Shadow Edition Death Serpent to help Outland Celebrate their milestone.  Eighty of these angry looking bros exist and Jesse will also be there in person to sign them.  The event takes place June 16th in Amsterdam, which I hear is a fun place to go anyway.  I've never been, but I don't get out too much.
