"Hello Ohio" Mr. Toast Solo Show at Rivet Gallery

The world would be a better place if their were more anthropomorphic food items.  You can't be upset when you see a group of breakfast noms that are all friends and look ready to go on adventures.   And their friendship spans different food groups, which is a good message for the kids (and one apparently Justin Bieber didn't receive based on his little videos that are surfacing).

Rivet Gallery is presenting "Hello Ohio" a new solo art show from Mr. Toast that will open this Saturday.  Just look at the picture up there and tell me you won't enjoy yourself.   They're gonna have a photo booth, and giveaways, and free beverages that if you drink enough of the toast will actually start talking to you (you shouldn't drink that much by the way).  They also will be celebrating their 7th anniversary, which is a pretty big achievement these days.

Giant Monsters Total Combat! Solo Show from Jeff Lamm at Rivet Gallery

Giant Monsters Total Combat! is the greatest name for an art show in the history of the world.  None of those bums that the ninja turtles were named after came up with anything that awesome.  Nope, that honor goes to Jeff Lamm for his solo show this Saturday at Rivet Gallery.  And of course the man that is famous for making monster toys is gonna have a few new releases to keep ya happy.  There will be a special edition Greasebat and Friends Gummi Playset as well as this beauty that Unbox Industries posted on their Instagram account:

Oooooooh, sparkly!  The opening reception will be from 7-10pm where you can meet Jeff and buy lots of cool stuff for me for Christmas.  Or your other friends, that's cool too.

Alex Pardee's Bunnywith Affinity for Slave Women Exclusive for Rivet Gallery

Ooooooooooh sparkly!!!!  By now you've all seen Alex Pardee's tribute to one Jabba the Hut with his ever popular Bunnywith figure, but you have yet to see one so FABULOUS (imagine my voice rising a few octaves when I typed that).  Rivet Gallery is the only place you can get this exclusive clear purple figure with little metal flakes strewn throughout.  Doesn't he look like he just had the best time at the Lady Gaga show?  These go on sale at noon today at Rivet's brick and mortar store and online at http://rivetart.com/.

Brian Ewing's "Horror Business" Solo Show at Rivet Gallery

I don't know much about Ohio.  I've only been there once when I was a wee little lad and all that I remember about it was going to the Cincinnati Zoo.  Other than that all I know is whatever I learned on The Drew Carey Show.  But I do know that Columbus has a pretty killer toy store/art gallery called Rivet and tomorrow they will be hosting a solo show by Brian Ewing.  You see that Bride of Frankenstein picture?  I have that hanging above my bed.  In fact, I have all of his monster prints, cause once I like something I just go completely overboard.  Luckily for me my wife is the same way and has mastered the art of playing Tetris with our walls and our art.  We're well on our way to covering ever bit of space, which we may or may not regret if we ever try to sell this house.

I know what you're thinking, you're thinking "Chris, this is a toy website and you have neglected to mention one word about anything made of plastic."  Don't worry your pretty little heads, cause I was just about to show you this:

And there's your payoff.  It's an exclusive color way of his disturbingly amazing Shub Zeroth figure that he made with Meta-Crypt. I finally got to see one of these in person at New York Comic Con and they are so good you'll momentarily forget how to speak english.  You're gonna want this.

The opening reception is tomorrow, November 2nd, from 7-10pm.
