McFarlane Toys x The Walking Dead at NYCC

No, I have no idea what happened to all the Kool Aid.

Wanna recreate the horror that is The Walking Dead? Even if you said no, now you can with the help of Mcfarlane Toys. They are giving attendees of New York Comic Con the first crack at buying a set of 4 figures for $60 a full month before they will be released to the public. Of course you can't just go and buy the 4 regular version figures. You also need the blood covered Officer Rick Grimes. He costs $20 at the Entertainment Earth booth #644.

Free Adventure Time Figure at NYCC

Adventure Time is a crazy show. I've only seen a few episodes and I thought it was quite clever even though I don't take LSD (which I'm sure would put you in the psych ward if you mixed the two). Cartoon Network and Jazwares are giving away free figures of the main character Finn just for stopping by their booth and asking for one. He's even wearing a cool shirt that will always remind you where you got him, you know, in case you don't heed my earlier advice and fry all of your brain cells.

Kidrobot Exclusive for NYCC

Kidrobot has done pretty well for themselves for this year's New York Comic Con. The theme of the year seems to be glow in the dark, which is ok if you don't keep them all in your bedroom and the nuclear glow they maintain doesn't keep you up at night and force you to develop a wicked coffee addiction. Isn't Kenny from South Park just adorable, looking a bit like he's been run over by a truck and then left out in the sun? While we've seen Kenny die many many times in his short life, have we ever seen him as a corpse/nightlight? Nope, so get one of the 1,000 made for only $11.95.

Need more things to glow in your house as if they were eager specimens on an episode of Law and Order? Keep your DNA to yourself and get a glowing Blanka! This beastly bro from the Street Fighter series is likewise limited to 1,000 pieces and will also cost $11.95.

This is what I've been excited about ever since I first heard the faint whispers of it's existence. Kronk has taken Kozik's iconic labbit figure and turned it into a war machine. See the armor plating! Drool over the twin rockets hell bent on destruction! Love the....paint flaws? Whatchu tryin' to say Kidrobot? Ok, so it seems as if there were some quality control issues at the factory in China and there are some issues with the way the figure came out. So instead of melting them down and creating expensive paper weights, Kidrobot decided to put them on sale but for less than what they were originally going to be. Here's my thought on the matter. I don't think I've ever gotten a toy that I could say was 100% flawless. Mistakes happen at factories, accidents happen during shipment, and my cats are going to put teeth marks in it anyway. I applaud them for lowering the price and not just pretending nothing happened and I also applaud them for sticking by what is an amazing design. Am I gonna buy one? Yes, yes I am.

Tenacious Toys x Toy2R NYCC Signing Schedule

I love when posts are this easy sometimes. Maybe I wanna watch some tv, or maybe my cat has just puked up the most evil of all evil hair balls right behind my chair and the smell is starting to knock me unconscious. Either way, here ya go.

Even More myplasticheart for NYCC News

myplasticheart is not playing around. In fact, they are coming guns blazin' to New York Comic Con and here are a few more weapons they've added to an already impressive arsenal. That giant orange dude is named Milton and he was designed by Oliver Hibert and produced by adFunture. There are only 200 of him and he will be $65. In a weird way I kinda like this figure, not because it's my personal taste per se, but because he looks exactly like that guy Bruce Vilanch who used to always be on Hollywood Squares and whose facial proportions I could never quite wrap my head around.
If you couldn't care less about obsolete game shows, then how about the new DIY Teddy Troops? They come blind boxed in an array of colors and are only $7 each. That is the best deal you're gonna find all day. Unless you give a dollar to the guy dressed as Boba Fett who plays the Star Wars theme on an accordion that is always outside of the con. I couldn't even make that up.

Steff Bomb x Erik Scarecrow for NYCC

Oooooh that looks soft! Plush maven Steff Bomb has teamed up with Erik Scarecrow to release this fuzzy game system called "I Think You're Soopa." It's based on a toy Erik did some time ago, and it's translation to a stuffed toy is pretty cool. There are only 15 of these in existence and they cost $45 at the Erik Scarecrow booth # 781 at, where else, New York Comic Con. You can meet Steff on Saturday at 3pm if you happen to be hanging around and not trying to score the phone number of some hot cosplay girl.
