Double Feature Resin Release from HH Toys

For some of us Friday does not mean the end of the work week, as our pain will continue to Saturday and beyond.  Sharon and I often complain about how we don't want to have to go to work, but we add lots of specifics on to the end in case someone who is listening can actually grant our request and takes things very literally.  So while we would rather go to a flea market or have minor dental surgery than be forced to deal with the unreasonable public, we don't want our not having to work be a result of unemployment.  And we also want to continue to be paid at least the same amount of money but preferably more.  You gotta add that stuff in there just in case, as getting what you wish for requires a lot of fine print.

HH Toys is giving you something to celebrate this Friday by having a killer double feature release. First up is their first fully painted edition EVER to exist.  This monkey is freaking me out and the paint job from Michael Devera is only adding to my unease.  I've been distrustful of monkeys since I went to a rescue zoo and one played Dixie with a Cheez-It on his cage to distract me while his buddy next door was fiddling with his monkey trumpet in an unwanted display of affection.  Haven't trusted one since and don't plan to in the near future. They're limited to 12 pieces and I don't recommend taking your eyes off of them.

The next release is sold completely blind.  What will you get?  I have no idea as I'm the last to find out anything.  There are two sculpts involved with 6 possible variants that will total 50 pieces all together.  Go on, take a gamble and then show us all what you got because I'm really nosey.

Everything goes up for sale today (Friday, July 26) at 5pm eastern time at this link.

The Sage Hunter Resin Figure and T-Shirt from HH Toys and Sage Screenprinting

The JC Penny in my area is closing and the one thing you can always guarantee that will be left to the very end of any going out of business sale are men's dress clothes.  I needed to update my wardrobe for work, so I went and bought a pile of shirts and pants.  My favorite dress shirts they had available were "slim fit", which when combined are two of the worst words in the English language for anyone weighing in at a beefcake-like 220 lbs.  This forced me to forgo my normal large sizes and upgrade to an extra large in order to not blow the back clear out of them whenever I raised my arms.  There is absolutely no moral to this story other than clothes shopping is dumb.

I can't wear this shirt to work, but I can assure you I would wear it anywhere else.  Thanksgiving with the family, random church picnics, and court proceedings are just a few of the places that you'll want to show off this collab from HH Toys and Sage Screenprinting.  Artist extraordinaire Sam Heimer designed the tee and it comes with a companion resin figure that looks like he's full of bad ideas, as if any of you need help in that department.

You can get this combo pack (that is limited to only 50 sets) when they go on sale tomorrow, July 4th, at 5pm at

Glow in the Dark Mythos in My Pocket Mini Figures from HH Toys

Name an author more inspirational than H.P Lovecraft.  Go on, I'll wait.  If anyone said Nicholas Sparks I will be driving to your house to smack you about the head and face.  Lovecraft has inspired countless books, songs, nightmares, etc with his tales of horror and the only thing that sucks about it is that he didn't live long enough to see it.  Dude was too genius for his time, but his legacy lives on in everyone who has ever been driven to create based on his work.   Oh, look at what we have here, just the very thing I was talking about.  Weird.

Mythos in My pocket are tiny portable versions of some of H.P.'s most famous characters (and even one of the author himself).  Created by HH Toys, these ultra spooky glow in the dark versions will be available on Tuesday, March 26th, at 4pm eastern time exclusively from

Lovecraft Inspired "Mythos In My Pocket" Figures from HH Toys

I can assure you I have neither monsters nor Mythos in my pockets.  I have a Wal-Mart receipt or two, which I will inevitably forget is in there, throw my pants in the wash, and discover later as an unidentifiable wad of football shaped paper.  Now if we were to examine my jacket we would discover all of the various Chap Sticks I've had since owning said garment.  I use them during the winter, forget them come spring, and buy a new one once the weather gets cold.  I can testify in a court of law that I have no idea what the interior of a tube of Chap Stick looks like once the product is completely used.  And they always end up with flecks of unknown debris stuck to it, like some dirt monster is moisturizing his lips when I'm not watching.  This is indeed the biggest trouble I am facing right now, so I take solace in that fact, but it is still a mystery none the less.

The tales of H.P. Lovecraft have inspired more art than possibly any other stories in recent history and HH Toys are joining that list with their new figure line Mythos In My Pocket.  They've taken prominent characters and even the man himself, shrunken them down, and created a series that will scratch the literary itch of any toy collector.  The best way to get every figure and a few killer bonuses is by getting in on the early bird edition, which will feature a complete set of flesh colored toys, a bonus glow in the dark version, a bonus Cthulhu idol, print, and sticker for just $65 (plus shipping).  Only 100 of those sets will be available beginning Thursday, December 13th, at 5pm eastern time.   The general release will happen on Saturday, December 15th for those of you that can't handle all those extras and just need to keep things simply to the business of the figures.  Whichever way you go, the only way to get them will be through

Voltar Resin Figure from H H Toys

H.H. Holmes was America's first serial killer and was hung by the neck for his crimes in what is now the parking lot of a grocery store in South Philadelphia.  He is not to be confused with H H Toys, who while also being from Philadelphia have chosen to ply their trade in resin figures rather than murder.  While they may not have a fancy metal placard outside of the super market, the making of toys is more likely to keep them off the gallows.  Except in Texas, as their laws seem deliberately vague to fuel the lucrative death row industry.  Think about it: one trip to the chair is like running a thousand inefficient air conditioners in hundred degree summer heat.  I ain't payin that bill.

Himmelstass Heimbach Toys are unleashing their latest creation, Voltar, on Wednesday March 29th.  He comes complete with a crystal ball filled with all sorts of information about your future.  Like a casino buffet some of it is good, some of it is bad, but most of it will give you gastrointestinal distress.  This first edition is limited to just 50 pieces and can be found on the aforementioned date starting at 8pm from
