Bedtime Bunnies from Peter Kato Release Tomorrow!

I seriously need a nap.  My two smallest cats have entered their puberty phase (don't worry, they are getting spayed/neutered tomorrow, I am responsible sometimes) and have not let me sleep the past few nights.  If teenagers were the same way the human race would have been extinct hundreds of years ago.  They're so restless and they figure if they're gonna stay up and act like weirdos all night then you should too.  Not cool kitties, not cool.

Just looking at these Bedtime Bunnies from Peter Kato reminds me of all the sleep I've forever lost.  And they're fricken cute beyond anything.  Just look at them, their peaceful little faces; their adorable little bunny slippers.  They come in two different sizes:  a 3 inch one for $20, or a 2 and 1/2 inch one for $12.  As always, these are hand made by Peter in his secret lair/studio.  Get one, or a pile of em, when they go on sale tomorrow (April 3rd) at http://peterkatoshop.com/.

Ghost Butler from Peter Kato

I've been thinking recently that my wife and I should strive to make our house more like Downton Abbey.  Specifically I wanted a cook in the basement that would keep me well fed without me having to make my own meals, but we could probably use a butler too.  Not that we entertain a lot of guests, but it would be nice to have someone at home to sign for our packages and shoo away the door to door sales people.  But it would be weird having someone stand in our living room, waiting for something to do as we're trying to watch tv, so this idea of a ghost butler would work out well.  He'd still be there, but we wouldn't have to feel awkward about it.

Ghost Butler is the newest resin figure from Peter Kato and will be available for the first time tomorrow, February 6th.  He made 12 of the white ones and 12 violet ones especially for Valentine's Day and they each will be $50.  Help your home more closely resemble an English manor by visiting http://peterkatoshop.com/

New Holiday Releases from Peter Kato Happening Today

Christmas is getting dangerously close for you folks that haven't finished your shopping (me).  Since you're reading this, I figure you or someone you know likes toys right?  So why not get them something unique and handmade instead of a pile of socks (send those to me, I can never find any around here).

Peter Kato is releasing two new colorways of his popular figures today to help you with your last minute gift needs.  Not only are they toys, but they're original art, made by the man himself in his Brooklyn studio.  Pick em up at http://peterkatoshop.com/.

Peter Kato to Release New Figures Tonight!

We are now only 1 week away from Thanksgiving, which means Christmas is hiding around the corner ready to ambush us.  I used to make fun of people who waited until the last minute to shop, cause it's not like you don't know it's coming,  but now that I don't work retail and I'm not bombarded by the holidays it's been much easier to slack off and become a last minute shopper.  But forget waiting in line at Wal Mart for hours to buy the people on your list something crappy that they won't even take out of the box and will forget about until years later when they get ready to move and decide to hide it in the attic for the next tenant to find.  Give em something nice, something that was made with love.  And plastic.

Peter Kato will be releasing some new figures tonight just in time for you to buy for your favorite toy collector.  And everything you see it ridiculously affordable.  Priced from $10-$15, these little guys are extremely limited, so keep an eye on http://peterkatoshop.com/ for the moment they go on sale tonight.

Seen at NYCC 2013: Peter Kato

Peter Kato is back!!!!!!  He was quiet for a bit as he built his new studio space, but he made it back to the world of toy making just in time to debut some new stuff at New York Comic Con.  I would have more pictures but he was selling everything so quickly that most of it was gone before I could make my way over to see him.  I love these new Mogu Tanks, and they really show how far he has come in his art.  Check out his online shop at http://peterkatoshop.com/ to see what he has available.  Also, if you're in the New York area this weekend he will be participating in the Arts Gowanus Open Studios, so you can pay him a visit and see how he makes his resin creations.

Peter Kato for New York Comic Con

I've been wondering what happened to this guy.   Peter Kato is making his return to the toy world at New York Comic Con with some really different pieces that what we were used to seeing from him.  Different in a good way, not like when someone asks you what you think of their new tattoo and you say "well, that's different" because that's the nicest thing you can think of while concentrating really hard to make it look like you're not gonna puke.  Do your research people, just cause someone does tattoos doesn't mean they do them well.  That is my public service announcement for today.

Check out this Mole Tank dude.  Peter has really upped his game with this guy.  There will be two different versions available.  The one up top there is an exclusive to Toy Tokyo and is limited to 12 pieces for $30 each.  The one you see below will be available through Peter's web store and at the Onell Design booth on Saturday from 4-7pm and Sunday from 1-5pm.

These guys look too cute to go into battle.  But maybe that's the Army Jack's secret weapon, the distract you with their adorableness and before you know if they have you locked up in Guantanamo Bay.  Each 1 inch figure is only $5, so you could build a literal army of them if you wanted to.

But why have an army is you have no one to do battle with?  So you're gonna need some of these Tako-Terriansto protect the earth from.  They will be $10 each at the show and online.

There will also be these linocut prints in an edition of 15 for $5 each and these buttons for $1 each that will be available when http://peterkatoshop.com/ re-opens this Thursday, October 10th.
