Mini 10-Doh! Series 2 Kickstarter Campaign

I was fortunate enough to be born at just the right time to fully appreciate the Nintendo when it was first released in America.  I had an Atari before that, but nothing compared to how cool Super Mario Bros. was and the feeling of pride I had when I finally beat it.  Nothing could possibly be better than that.  But games got bigger, the graphics got better, and those old NES cartridges are now either filling up landfills or the collections of video game hoarders.

Now we can have those memories live on forever with the help of Mini 10-Doh! figures.  These have been around for a little while, as they have done a previous blind box series of the little guys and some bigger pieces as well.  Squid Kids Ink needs your help to make Series 2 a reality and they're offering a butt ton of incentives on Kickstarter that you can get for making this happen.  Pledges range from $10 for a random blind box figure to $10,000 that will get you a complete set of Series 2, a gold set of Series 2,  5 exclusive Kickstarter figures, and a nearly 30 inch figure that you will design yourself.

Series 2 will feature the artistic talents of Nathan Hamill, Gary Ham, David Horvath, Hydro74, Kano, Shawnimals, and many more!  Check it out and help fund it today by clicking here.

Custom Toy of the Week: We Become Monsters

Is it any wonder that Lance Armstrong and countless other athletes risk turning their man grapes into raisins in order to become awesome athlete types?  All anyone has to do is look into their childhood's to see what a horrible influence Super Mario Brothers was.  He constantly took performance enhancing drugs and you know what they led to?  Fame, tons of gold coins, and the hottest girl in a land full of hammer-tossing turtles.  And he grew to behemoth proportions.  But never have we been exposed to the downside of relying on a fungus to make your life worth living....until now.

We Become Monsters dared to ask what would happen if Mario got ahold of a bad batch and the results are terrifying.  This custom figure was made for the "Game On" art show at 1AM in San Francisco next week and should serve as a warning to us all to never buy drugs from that weird guy down the street who is always wearing the same shirt that probably hasn't been washed since he bought it in 1974 from that Foghat show and that won't stop talking about the one time he met Jimmy Carter outside of an Old Navy in Atlanta during this crazy sale they were having on cargo shorts.  I mean, don't do drugs kids.

Super Series Sunday Release from Evilos x Tenacious Toys

I need to get this guy out here to paint my car.  Seriously, it could use a nice touch up and maybe some flames.  Or this picture on the hood:

Evilos may not be available to paint sick fantasy murals on your automobile, but he did paint these Android figures for Tenacious Toy's Super Series Sunday.  Only 5 of them were made and they will be $50 each.  They go on sale March 17th at 4pm Eastern time.

New Tees from JFury x Outsmart Originals

Remember when you could go to the mall and buy cool shirts that no one else had and everybody stopped you to tell you how much they liked what you were wearing?  Yeah, me neither, so thankfully there are companies like Outsmart Originals around so you're not stuck wearing a shirt with a store's name on it.

Their newest shirts were designed by JFury, whose over the top cartoonish style is the stuff nightmares are made of.  Seriously, I've never met a smoking clown who had good intentions.

And if you order one of these tees you'll be entered to win this custom toy!  That sucker looks like he was made in a top notch factory in China, but he is actually hand painted and sculpted.  Pretty impressive.

ToyConUK Exclusive Caveys from A Little Stranger

A Little Stranger has been busy getting ready for the inaugural ToyConUK.  First, she sculpted the mascot figure that was turned into a killer vinyl production piece, and now she is revealing two more exclusives for the show.  And they're so cute I wanna fill a pool with them and go swimming in they're adorableness.  I've said too much.

There's a plushy Cavey that is limited to only 25 pieces and comes with a special enamel badge and display cube.  He's gonna be £25.  Then there's the vinyl Cavey who is hand painted, limited to 10 pieces, and will cost £15.  If there happens to be any leftovers from the show the remaining toys will be listed for sale at http://heycavey.bigcartel.com/.

Dead Kozik Bust Kickstarter from Kevin Gosselin

I can't tell which is scarier:  the fact that I could buy this or the fact that I'm seriously contemplating buying this.  I'm a Kozik fan no question, but I never thought about putting his rotting mug on my grand piano before.  But Kevin Gosselin did and he created this in tribute to the godfather of rock posters and nicotine addicted bunnies.  And people couldn't be more excited.  His Kickstarter campaign to get this produced as a full fledged vinyl bust has taken off since its start a few days ago and it looks like this will become the must-have home decor item for toy nerds in 2013.

The first colorways of the bust will be in red and glow in the dark.  Both are exclusive to the Kickstarter campaign and will be made using the same factory that produces all of Kozik's famous busts of questionable world leaders.  The dead man himself is even doing all of the artwork for the boxes.  This may be the strangest vinyl toy ever produced of a guy who makes vinyl toys who is still alive but is depicted as being dead.  Ok, I'll guarantee it is.

You can support this campaign and get one of these to complete your serial killer-like shrine or you can donate as little as $10 and get a sticker pack to plaster his face all over your Nissan.  Check it out by clicking here.

Brandy Edition Chester Runcorn from Doktor A and Kuso Vinyl

Mustaches are everywhere these days.  The wife and I went into a bookstore last week and near the register they actually had an entire section of products dedicated to ye olde flavor saver.  Magnets, t-shirts, button, just about anything you could imagine.  And this was at a bookstore, which struck me as even weirder.  I should have known not to expect better when they let the Jersey Shore cast write books and people were actually excited to read them.

This dapper gent is Chester Runcorn from Doktor A.  He's been released in many different colors before, all named after various libations that lead to the listening of jazz music and hedonism.  He's on sale now at www.kusovinyl.com and for a meager $65 he will fancy up your joint with his jaunty hat and English accent.
