Game of Thrones Series 3 Pop! Vinyls from Funko

On this day known as Cyber Monday let us think back to a simpler time, before the internet, or people being punched in the face over cheap dish towels.  Let us think back to the time so accurately portrayed in Game of Thrones, where an argument was decided by a sword and having children with your sister was no big deal.  Hold on a sec.  I'm being told that Game of Thrones is not actually a dramatic recreation of American history.  You're kidding right?  I know they didn't get to the whole George Washington part yet, but it I was sure it was coming.  I just assumed it was all real, what with the History Channel not actually airing anything of historical value anymore I thought HBO had picked up the slack and was gonna teach me something.  Obviously the place beyond the wall is Canada; we can all agree on that right?

Ok, I didn't really believe Game of Thrones was real, but I kind of wish it was.  Except for that whole 8 year winter thing, which seems kind of crappy.  Could you imagine if we really had to be completely bundled up for that long?  We would all look like those cave creatures who have that see-through skin.  You'd make a mint if you owned a tanning salon.

I'm finding it hard to stay on track today, so much so that I just wrote about how hard I'm finding it to stay on track.  Sure I could have deleted that part, but this way it's a more authentic experience for you, the reader.  We're on this magical journey together my friends, and there are gonna be some bumps in the road.

So Funko has some pretty sweet new Game of Thrones Pop! Vinyl figures coming out in January.  Except for the Daenerys Targaryen, who will be released in February.  Why?  I dunno, just cause that's what they felt like doing.  I ain't mad about it.

Sons of Anarchy Pop! Vinyl Figures from Funko

Before we get started here, if you haven't watched the latest episode of Sons of Anarchy you might want to stop reading right now, cause I'm gonna spoil the crap out of it for you.  Not that I will feel bad about it mind you, because your butt should have been firmly planted on your couch Tuesday night and watching it.  What were you doing instead?  Were you out with your knitting group, making blankies for your mamas?

Now that we got that out of the way, HOLY CRAP I NEED EVERY ONE OF THESE!  Funko has outdone itself with these Sons of Anarchy Pop! Vinyl figures.  These are just the first of hopefully many to come, as there are so many variations they could do.  They could make Clay as a glowing ghost like at the end of Return of the Jedi, or prison love Otto, or they could make a two pack of dead hookers so you can set up authentic dioramas based on scenes from the show.  The possibilities are endless my friends.  They come out on January 7th, which is approximately the date I will stop crying after this season ends.

Beavis and Butthead Pop! Vinyl from Funko

I was barely a teenager when Beavis and Butthead first aired on MTV, and those lucky enough to be around my nerdy friends and I were subjected to our terrible impressions of them any moment we got the chance.  For some reason, girls did not flock to our lunch table in the numbers you would expect.  Unless you expected zero, then it was almost like you were there.

We could all learn a lot from Beavis and Butthead, and their simple way of viewing life.  Either something sucked or it was awesome.  It's the same philosophy I use when deciding what to write about on this very site.  Needless to say, these Pop! Vinyl figures from Funko do not suck, and conveniently enough they will be released the day before Christmas in case you still don't know what to get me.

Horror Movie Pop! Vinyls from Funko

I know Halloween just passed, but for any of you just starting your Christmas shopping (me) the horror continues well into December.  I have some vague ideas of what I plan to get my wife, but so far I haven't acted on them yet.  Usually I'm well ahead of the game and pretty much done by now, but this year I've slacked a bit.  I'm trying to add more mental danger to the holidays, or something.

On November 12th Funko is releasing a new round of horror movie themed Pop! Vinyls.  I am so addicted to these things it's not even funny.  We went to Barnes and Noble the other day and I scored the classic Batman and Catwoman figures for only $8.95 each.  They're great spur of the moment purchases to help you get that plastic fix.  You know the one I'm talking about; where you're on the internet, browsing all the cool stuff you want but know you shouldn't spend your whole paycheck on.

Star Trek Pop! Vinyl from Funko

It was brought to my attention recently that Scotty from Star Trek was such a bad dude that he could wear the dreaded red shirt and survive.  That is tantamount to being immortal in that franchise.  I guess it's a good thing he was in charge of fixing stuff, cause if it had been any other dude wearing a red shirt they would be calling AAA to come and tow the Enterprise all the time.  Those guys were as expendable as out of date lunch meat.

This is further proof that everything you have ever been entertained by will one day become a Funko Pop! Vinyl.  Seriously, they have to be getting a little nervous that they're gonna run out of cool things to make figures of.  They're gonna have to start making a politician's series, or inventors.  Now that I think about it, I would totally buy a Tesla action figure.  They could do a two pack with Thomas Edison and make them look like they're gonna fight over who's ideas in electricity were supreme.  Make it happen Funko!  Oh, and hire me cause there are way more ideas where that came from.

These will be available November 28th.

Paris Comics Expo Exclusive Darth Vader Pop! Vinyl from Funko

GLOW IN THE DARK HOLOGRAPHIC DARTH VADER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Not that I'm all excited about it or anything, but holy crap I need to get one of these.  This Pop! Vinyl figure from Funko is an exclusive to the Paris Comics Expo.  From what I hear though, us folks in the United States will have a chance to preorder one from Toymatrix in the next few days for $15 plus shipping. Yeah, I'm gonna have to get in on that.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Pop Vinyls from Funko

If Middle Earth had Wi-Fi and Target it would be the perfect place to live.  Think about the adventures you could have.  Any time I try to go on an adventure around here it usually ends with me being asked to leave the natural history museum.  I'm tired of nobody understanding my need for epicness.  I don't even think epicness is a word, but who cares, cause the Oxford English Dictionary obviously doesn't know how to adequately describe my life.

The Hobbit is the type of movie that makes me long for the day when I can pack up the UHaul and relocate to a mythical land.  Part two of this 300 part film series is coming out soon and to celebrate Funko has created these Pop! Vinyls that are filled with a sense of...epicness.  They're available now to help you dream of a land that is free from Kardashians.

Star Wars Series 4 Pop! Vinyls from Funko

The highlight of these new Star Wars Pop! Vinyl figures from Funko has to be Admiral Ackbar.  I would carry that dude around with me everywhere, warning people about the danger of traps.

I can hide him behind stuff at work and whenever anyone asks me a question I'll pop his head up and yell "It's a Trap!"  This will probably get old real fast for everyone but me.

Or I could just use Lando and one of my wife's dolls and reenact Colt 45 commercials.  How has no one hired me yet in Hollywood?  I'm full of ideas like this.

These will all be available at the end of the month.

NYCC Exclusive Pop! Vinyls from Funko x Fugitive Toys

You know what's great about Pop! Vinyls?  I never feel guilty about buying them.  They're like those fun size candy bars that you keep eating cause they're small and before you know it you ate the whole bag.  Every time I see one of these guys that I want I just buy it because the price is always good and you never feel like you could have used your money for something better, like your electric bill.

Fugitive Toys will have three exclusives from Funko's ever popular line of figures for this year's New York Comic Con.  There will be a metallic Batman Beyond (which I need, a New 52 Nightwing, and that same Nightwing only in a metallic version.  Buy one, buy them all!  No need to hold back, because they're more affordable than buying a hot dog in the Javitts Center.

New Christmas Pop! Vinyl from Funko

I have a confession to make.  It wasn't until last year that I had seen A Christmas Story from start to finish.  That doesn't mean I don't watch it every year when that one cable channel runs it for 24 hours straight, it's just that I always catch it half way through.  I'll watch it from wherever it happens to be until the end and then I'm good.  So I actually made the effort last season to watch it from the beginning and now I can cross that goal off my list.

Funko is making your Christmas decorations a lot cooler with these new Pop! Vinyl figures from A Christmas Story and A Nightmare Before Christmas.  You can even be lazy and leave them out year round and no one will call you on it, unlike those lights that you try to repurpose for every holiday.  I'm sorry, but President's Day does not need to be that festive.  All of these dudes are available now wherever you buy toys.
