Legends of Cthulhu Kickstarter Campaign from Warpo

I'm digging this new trend of making retro style action figures that should have existed.  There's been a few cool ones, there's been lots of crappy ones, and now let me present to you the very best ones.  From the tales of H P Lovecraft come the Legends of Cthulhu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I know you want them all right now, but in order to make that happen you gotta donate to their Kickstarter campaign.  Click this link and pledge all your monies to the elder gods in order to earn their favor when they return to enslave mankind.  Or to just get some cool toys, but not pissing them off couldn't hurt either, right?

Brought to you by the fine folks at Warpo.

Little Maddie Kickstarter from Bigshot Toyworks x Tenacious Toys

I have a confession to make.  I've never backed a Kickstarter before.  I write about them all the time but I've never been able to pull the trigger.  That being said, HOLY CRAP WHERE IS MY CREDIT CARD!!!!!  I've been waiting for this thing for months, and I'm going to take a moment and actually back this campaign right now, in real time, while you're reading this.  Give me a sec......................................................................................................................... Done.  I think that might be the first time that has ever happened on any toy blog.  Look at me, breaking boundaries and whatnot.  Alert the media so I can start doing interviews about how much of a pioneer I was today, to actually back a crowd funded toy as I was in the middle of writing about it.

Little Maddie is the brilliant creation of Bigshot Toyworks, combining The adorableness of My Little Pony with the classic tales of H.P. Lovecraft.  They teamed up with Tenacious Toys to start a campaign so this crazed horse can see the light of day.  If this one is successful they already have designs ready for four more that will mimic the four horsemen of the apocalypse.  This needs to happen people!!!!  Go, right now, to this link and fund this project cause I need this toy!!!!!!!!!!!

Willo Resin Sculpture Kickstarter from Kyle Kirwan

I think I've told this story before, but it warrants a retelling.  While living in my first apartment with my wife I made a custom figure that utilized fake antlers from a taxidermy supply company.  They needed to be shaved down a bit at their base so they would fit into the head of the figure, so I grabbed my trusty Dremel, sat out on the front stoop, and began grinding them down.  Just then two degenerates who just bought drugs from our upstairs neighbor (that's a looooong story that ended with the US Marshalls and the fastest eviction you've ever seen) come walking by and I look up at them from behind my respirator (don't breath that crap in folks) and nod so they think I'm cool and won't want to steal my tv.  One looks at the other and says, and I quote, "That's some real Jeffrey Dahmer shit."  That is when I learned that if you live around sketchy people doing sketchy things, it doesn't hurt to have them think you might be a sociopath.

I'm a sucker for a nice rack (of antlers) and this Willo figure from Kyle Kirwan certainly has that.  This dude needs your help to become an actual toy and you can show your support via a Kickstarter campaign going on right now.  This thing is very very close to getting funded and just needs a little extra push to make it happen.  Be a part of creating this unique toy by clicking here.

The Rainy Day Antagonist Kickstarter from Evilos

We've all had those days where it seems like the universe is out to get us.  Those days where you wonder if how you want to respond will land you in jail for 25 to life.  Evilos has those days too.  The man loves to paint, and for him to do what he loves he needs the weather to cooperate.  When it doesn't, it can kind of feel just like his new resin figure looks.  "The Rainy Day Antagonist" has just gone live on Kickstarter and needs your help to see the light of day.  Plus, how can you not want  a figure that is flipping the elusive double bird?  I like to utilize this very cut and dry gesture while navigating through New Jersey traffic, but I have to keep at least on hand on the wheel, so I alternate which hand I use so no one feels left out.  My middle fingers are so strong from being used repeatedly against terrible drivers that I could probably snap your neck with one of them.  Just kidding, I'm really a nice guy (in case my employers are reading this).

You can click HERE right now and get in on all the exclusive rewards for helping to fund this project.  Do it.

GODAI Guardians Kaiju USB Figure Kickstarter Campaign

Think about the crazy nonsense you have on your computer.  Now consider what people would think if you up and croaked and they had nothing but time to look through said computer and discover what a little deviant you were.  My laptop is filled with things about how my wife is trying to kill me, so if I ever turn up dead under suspicious circumstances she'll be the prime suspect.  It's like the ultimate final joke you can play on a loved one really.

"Oh, you laughed hysterically when you replaced all the music on the iPod with Justin Bieber? Well now you're on trial for my murder."

She might not think it's so bad though, because she really likes Law & Order.

But in all seriousness, there's stuff you don't necessarily want on your computer in case it gets stolen. Like your tax documents, or those weird videos you download from that server in Russia. You gotta keep that stuff secure, and what better way to do it then on a little Kaiju USB figure.

There's a Kickstarter campaign going on to bring these little dudes to life.  If you like the idea of your important information being stored in the skull of a cute little monster, then you need to check out the site here and help get this project funded.

Help Make Zombitron from Kenth Toy Works and Acolorfulmonster a Reality

Collaborations can either be amazing or disastrous.  Sometimes you'll get one of the artists taking more control and pushing the other one out, or the designs just don't mesh well and both of their individual styles kind of get lost.  Kenth Toy Works and Acolorfulmonster have found a way to prevent all that and make a truly original toy:  one artist took one side of the figure, while the other took the opposite.  The result is two very unique creatures in one body.  But there' no guarantee that this guy will come to life unless you help out.  They've launched a Kickstarter campaign to get the money together to make this figure happen.  So now you have the chance to not only involve yourself in the production of a toy, but to get some cool rewards for helping them out.  There are blank figures, standard painted versions, and one-off editions depending on your level of contribution.  Check it out by clicking here.   They only have 17 days left so let's get moving people!!!!!!

Mochi The Monkey Ninja Kickstarter

I get a lot of emails from people asking me to share the toys that they make.  Surprisingly enough, I get a lot about kid's toys, which is weird because if they'd even looked at this site they would know that I like to use very "colorful" anecdotes when talking about toys.  I don't think Fisher-Price really wants me talking about their new crap for your toddler while also talking about guns or dead hookers.  And there is always the chance that I will talk about guns or dead hookers because that's the kind of guy I am.  I don't like to limit myself to the topics of conversation on the Disney Channel.  I need to express myself, and sometimes that comes in the form of a heroin overdose story, or that time I found a dead guy in Philadelphia.

Bendable monkey ninjas aren't the normal thing I write about, but I do love monkeys and ninja monkeys sound pretty awesome, so I was starting to lean in favor of this new product.  Then they told me they liked my cats and I was sold, because they actually have viewed this site and new the dangers (i.e. the entire first paragraph) of me writing about their stuff.

Kacha Torn is a dude from Thailand who has created the aforementioned bendable monkey ninja named Mochi.  He has launched a Kickstarter page to help get his project funded and it's the most straightforward campaign I've ever seen.  You basically just preorder the figure and when he gets enough it will go into production.  Check it out for yourself by clicking here.

Wheelhouse's Rivals Vinyl Figures Set 2 Now Live on Kickstarter

Like having a baby with your cousin, toy making is risky business.  You need great ideas, the ability to follow through with a long project, a thick skin to take the criticism of message board lurkers, and most importantly, a hefty pile of money.  And that's just to get your dreams manufactured.  Wheelhouse have used Kickstarter in the past to successfully fund their first series of Rivals vinyl figures and now they have returned to it to make the second a reality.  By now we all know how Kickstarter works:  you determine how much you are able to contribute and based on that you get cool stuff in return.  This is by far one of the most affordable campaigns I've ever seen, where a mere $60 will get you both fully painted figures.  If you like what you see you can help these toys become reality by clicking here.

Mini-Cheestroyer Kickstarter Campaign from Bad Teeth and Double Haunt

I get a lot of emails.  Usually they are for things like car insurance, male enhancement pills, and stuff that princes in Nigeria send asking me to help them get their money out of the country while making me incredibly rich.  But I received one today promising me a toy that had everything I could ever want.  Oh yeah?  That's a lofty promise my friend as I.....ooooooh look, he has a tentacle arm.  SOLD!

Evidently Bad Teeth and Double Haunt do know exactly what I want in a toy because they have turned me on to this creation of theirs.  The Mini-Cheestroyer is a hybrid, cheeseburger-headed, monster thing that is sure to raise your bad cholesterol ad he destroys your city.  This is what happens immediately after you digest a McDonald's hamburger.  It reforms into a terrible beast hell bent on making your intestines it's prison wife.

As with all Kickstarters there are tons of bonus and exclusive things you can get depending on your level of pledge.  They have a comic book, resin and vinyl figures, and hand painted one-offs.  It's a cool little toy, reasonably priced, and deserves to be in production.  Help them out by clicking here
