Royals 2.0 Tuttz Mini from Argonaut Resins

When I was in kindergarten I wanted nothing more than to be an archaeologist.  Between my obsession with dinosaurs and Ancient Egypt I was ready at five years old to pack my bags and dig up some old corpses in the middle of the desert.  Honestly, that still sounds like a perfect day out so if anyone is ever going to do that I'm down for an invite.  I can't remember why that career goal didn't stick with me through the years,  maybe once I discovered rock music and wasn't willing to admit my guitar playing was a mess.  Or maybe someone told me that Indiana Jones was not the typical scenario and it was going to be more sweeping dirt than punching bad guys in the face.  That movie should have had a disclaimer.

I imagine that if I unearthed a burial chamber along the banks of the Nile that treasures like these Tuttz from Argonaut Resins would be front and center.  Look at how absolutely regal these look, which is fitting being that they are named Royals.  Standing 3 and 1/2 inches tall and clad in a black and gold combo or completely in a luxurious reflective gold, these resin kitties are available now by visiting

Dragonfly 2.0 from Argonaut Resins

A few days ago I was sitting in the break room enjoying my lunch when a huge flying ant decided to pay me a visit.  He was flying around me trying to determine a good place to land when a coworker decided the need for coffee was much greater than my need to not be around them for 30 minutes.  She comes in and points out the presence of the insect and the next thing to happen I couldn't replicate if I have a thousand attempts to do so.  I put my sandwich down, raise one hand, and just like if we had practiced it for months the little dude landed on my finger (and the entire time I never broke eye contact with her.  My coworker not the ant).  I lower him to the table and proclaim that his name is Mitch and we are already the best of friends.  Then I let him outside and a bird probably ate him or something, but the point of the story is that I made a beautifully timed connection with a bug and it freaked out my coworker which was fun for me.

Argonaut Resins is all about trying to make you a bug whisperer with his Dragonfly 2.0 release.   Sequels can be hit or miss but these guys don't look like they'll let you down once you've invested in their back story.  These debut tonight (October 23) at 9pm eastern time through  There will be 25 different iterations in this first wave, which according to the metric system is the exact number it takes to make a swarm.

Micro Tuttz and Pharaoh Hounds from Argonaut Resins

My wife and I have a pact that if one of us isn't home the other won't watch shows that we both love.  That leaves me with some pretty bad options, such as Tiny House Nation.  I like shows where they make things, so that parts cool, but I just can't get behind living in one of those.  The idea is noble, until you get the stomach flu and your significant other can't escape the horrors of it because the bathroom is in the living room which doubles as the kitchen/litter box.  Relationships need some mystery and a decent level of air quality.  And I freely admit that I love stuff way too much and would have a hard time limiting myself to what could fit in a hatch back.  Our walls are packed with art and there are things surrounding us that make us happy, so I can't see the benefit of saving money if you're trapped in what amounts to a hipster prison cell.  Now if there's a show out there that will build me a castle on a mountain with tons of wall space and a moat I would apply right now.

Some things are ok in smaller versions though, like these Tuttz and Pharaoh Hounds from Argonaut Resins.  These little dudes are 3D printed in resin and perfectly sized to fit in the little nooks and crannies of your collection.  Check em out now over at and add some of these insanely affordable ($15 for 2 figures!!) critters to your regular sized house for grown people.

Halcon Falcon Series 4 from Argonaut Resins

I don't get how falconry works.  From what it looks like you just have to get a big leather glove, stand on top of a hill with your arm outstretched, and wait for a bird of prey to land on you.  Then you put a little mask on him while the bird is all "crap, I can't believe I fell for that after making fun of Mitch for the same thing."  Then you have an awesome falcon that is bonded to you for life and is sworn to do your bidding.  Think of the hijinks that will ensue!  Of course I could have just done a a Google search to learn about how it works but for one, I like the way I presented it better and two, the Internet is filled with those alternative facts and I'm not looking to be made a fool.

The bird is indeed the word when Argonaut Resins releases series 4 of his Halcon Falcon resin figures tonight.  There's 10 different ones, they each stand nearly 3 inches tall, and they go on sale Tuesday, January 24th at 9pm eastern time only at

Gato Muerto Lapel Pin from Argonaut Resins

The sudden explosion in popularity for enamel pins was something I could have never predicted, but it's a neat and inexpensive way for artists to put their work out their and for collectors to load up their jackets and hold up the lines at airport security.  Argonaut Resins is getting in on the action with this Gato Muerto pin that is available right now at  Each one is only $12 shipped in the US and is a much more effective way to take your love of cats with you than trying to fill your cargo shorts with kittens.  Not that I'm opposed to wearing cargo shorts filled with kittens mind you, but the pin is much safer if you're ever looking to have children one day.  Kittens are pointy.

The Holiday Hunt is on with Argonaut Resins

"Damn, we have a lot of cats."

How many times can you have an epiphany before people start worrying that you have early onset dementia?  There I was, trying to help my wife appreciate the beauty of mid eighties professional wrestling promos while watching the WWE Network, and it struck me.  Everywhere I turn, a kitty sits, and once you have a certain number people are always trying to sneak more in.  Just this past week my wife was approached twice about taking in new cats.  Don't get me wrong, I love the little buggers, but I'm worried that the next one is what's gonna push it over the line to where all of my clothes smell like stale pee.  As far as I know my only scent is a mixture of Irish Spring and Old Spice and I'm trying to keep it that way.

For the time being the only cats I'm looking to adopt are made of plastic and don't just decide one day that they've always wanted to see what was up with the front porch and give me a heart attack trying to catch the.  Argonaut Resins in smack dab in the midst of his Holiday Hunt, in which Tuttz OG kitties are randomly popping up in his web shop.  They stand 6 and 1/2 inches tall and there's 25 of them in the series, so keep your peepers on

Mariposa Butterflies Debut Tonight from Argonaut Resins

Argonaut Resins is going through changes.  Not like Bruce Jenner level changes, cause that would be weird to write about, but changes of a much different and less invasive sort.  For one, Argonaut Resins will soon be known as Tuttz World.  And secondly, they will not be producing figures for other artists but focusing on the multitude of critters that inhabit the world of the Tuttz.  You'll have the ability to experience a new line of figures from a project entitled "Mariposa" when these Butterflies go on sale later tonight.  These resin creatures feature interchangeable wings, so you can mix and match them depending on how many you own.   Your first opportunity to call one of them your own will happen at 9pm eastern time at      Oh and that first picture you see above is one of the chase Dragonflies that will also be available.

New YinYang Tuttz and More from Argonaut Resins Available Tonight

This pretty much sums up the dual personalities of cats pretty well.  On the one hand they're all sweet and cuddly and want nothing more than your affection.  On the other hand they are devious little psychopaths who want nothing more than to climb your new curtains like they were training for Wrestlemania.  And you never know from one minute to the next which version you're going to get.  Unless they're napping, then you can bring your expensive stuff back out of hiding with minimal fear that it will end up stolen and under the bed where they know you can't get them back.  Our littlest one is especially devious, as she sits on her hoard like Smaug on Dwarf gold.

Argonaut Resins is loading up his web store tonight with a bunch of new stuff playing off of the  theme of duality.  There will be 10 of these stunning black and white 8 inch Tuttz cats available.  Each one is $165 shipped and will come with a matching Tuttz magnet, a set of stickers, and a sketch card.

Also releasing tonight will be a one-off Kings of Atlantis Skull made to mimic the kitty. This guy will be available for $175.

Everything goes live tonight at 9pm eastern time only at

Custom "Kings of Atlantis" Skulls from Clinton Yaws x Argonaut Resins

So this morning I woke up to surprise snow.  Nowhere in any weather report that I watched this week did it say it was gonna snow here, but that sure didn't stop a few inches of the stuff from making driving a challenge as I took my wife to work.  I know that meteorology is supposed to be a science but I'm not buying into that any more.  No one's perfect, but every time it has snowed this winter it has either been a complete surprise or the amounts were so drastically different than what the weather people said that I could have just asked one of my cats.  I think that it's all a conspiracy and that meteorology is nothing more than an amateur form of witchcraft.  I think after they invented names for the clouds they just gave up and started casting bones and gazing into scrying glasses.  And let us not forget the big deal that they make about a ground rodent seeing his shadow and predicting when spring will come. Science, are you there?  I'm gonna go and catch a weather person and see if they float when I dunk them into the lake.

The beautifully painted resin of these Kings of Atlantis skulls probably hold some secrets of their own, but hopefully they're a bit more accurate that channel 10.  Argonaut Resins enlisted the help of Clinton Yaws to bring these to "life" (Get it, cause skulls are a symbol of death, lol.  Oh morbid puns you slay me!  I did it again!!!)  My favorite is the Easy Rider one cause I like that movie a lot and it seemed like everyone was having a good time in it until the end, which is oddly the point when good times usually go bad.   And you can't beat a movie where motorcycles are just as important as the main actors, though I did thoroughly enjoy wacky Jack Nicholson.

These bad boys go on sale tomorrow, Friday the 27th, at noon eastern time only at

Resin Ornament Sets Featuring Argonaut Resins, The Jelly Empire, and Laura Alvarez

I guess you could be lame and buy some Honey Boo Boo or Duck Dynasty Christmas ornaments from Wal Mart to fill your tree this year, or you could buy something much cooler and that won't make your family question your ability to feed yourself.

Argonaut Resins has created these holiday ornament sets in collaboration with The Jelly Empire and Laura Alvarez just in the nick of time to save your Christmas decorating blunders.  Each set comes with three sparkly handcrafted ornaments and will be available for sale starting tomorrow, December 12th, at noon eastern time.  Pick up a set or two at

Seen at NYCC 2013: Argonaut Resins and The Jelly Empire

The use of resin to make toys has allowed for artists to create things on their own without the need of a a large company or tons of money to finance their endeavors.  Argonaut Resins and The Jelly Empire have been making their artistic visions come to life for years with this DIY attitude and had a great display of that work at New York Comic Con.  There are some remaining pieces available for sale on their respective websites, so after you are mesmerized by all the pictures I took you should check out and and support these great artists.

NYCC Exclusive Mini Tuttz from Argonaut Resins x Suburban Vinyl

When I first heard that Suburban Vinyl was gonna be selling cracked cats I thought to myself "You shouldn't sell cats with a drug addiction, you should get them into treatment."  Besides, who wants to own a crackhead cat?  They're just gonna steal everything.  Then I returned to the real world and determined that the "cracked" they referred to was their sweet paint job and I felt silly for maybe 2 seconds.

Argonaut Resins made these exclusive Mini Tuttz for the good folks at Suburban Vinyl's booth at New York Comic Con.  They're located in booth #208, which is this giant collective booth that is so large it will have it's own gravitational pull.

New Custom Tuttz from Argonaut Resins x Emily Bee

My wife wants another cat.  She's always dropping subtle hints like "I want another cat" or "let's go to the shelter and get a kitten."  I'm not opposed to it, but I'm already worried that my house smells like pee and I'm just used to it and don't know anymore.  Like when you ride in someone's car and the moment you get in you're hit with the smell of old socks and dead rodents and they're just smiling away, oblivious to the fact that their car makes your sinuses weep.

Fake cats are the safest way to add to your feline collection without having to add litter boxes and scented candles.  Emily Bee painted this Tuttz from Argonaut Resins in her instantly recognizable style and is offering him for sale today (Wednesday September 4th) at 1pm EST.

New Custom Releases Tonight from Argonaut Resins

I recently got suckered into watching that show Downton Abbey that everyone has been going nuts about.  I thought I was gonna hate it and even after the first episode I wasn't sure.  But somehow it got it's aristocratic hooks deeply embedded in my brain and the wife and I ended up watching two season's worth in a few days.  I am completely obsessed and it's really been difficult to not go out and buy the third season.  Then I go to work and I'm talking about it and one of my coworkers says "Oh, I watched some of that show but I'm not sure which season it was, did you see when...spoiler removed...happened?"  No, no I hadn't actually you evil succubus of my televised enjoyment.  She couldn't have generalized it, noooooooooooooo, she had to give away a huge plot point.  This is why I don't carry a hammer around with me.  Well that and it would look silly.

These custom Argonaut Resins figures from Angella Powell make me think of the beautiful English countryside, large familial estates, and a time where it was not only cool but encouraged to marry your cousin.  Or they could be ultra hipsters, but why would I want to tarnish their adorableness with such horrid thoughts?  These, as well as all of the customs made by Small Angry Monster and END that you see below, will be going up for sale tonight at 9pm Eastern time at

New Figures from Argonaut Resins x Small Angry Monster

My wife recently changed jobs so we had to change our health insurance as well.  Waiting for our new cards to come in the mail has been nerve wracking, as I've managed to injure myself no less than ten different times.  Each time I jab something sharp through my thumb (that was yesterday) or have Icarus slice me with his razor-sharp claws when we try to take him to the vet (that was last week) I wonder if this is the stupid way in which I will die.  How embarrassing would that be?  To die from a dirty piece of metal that went into my thumb because I don't have my health insurance cards yet.  As I lay on my death bed, rotting away from a wicked case of tetanus, I would take my last breath just as Sharon checks the mail and finds that envelope from Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Maybe they'll make a Lifetime movie about me.

I could probably use some armor plating just like these new figures from Argonaut Resins have.  Small Angry Monster did the customizing on these guys and they look pretty safe and secure, which is something I need to work on.  He also made these Cursed 8 inch Tuttz that look as if they were pulled straight from a pharaoh's tomb. The curse of the mummy is not included.  You will have a shot at owning one of the amazing toys you see here this Wednesday, June 26th, at 8pm Eastern time by going to

Custom Tuttz from Small Angry Monster x Argonaut Resins On Sale Tonight

I like me some kitties.  I live with three real ones and have countless plastic ones.  If I lived in Game of Thrones my sigil would be a cat head with a viking helmet and crossed battle axes beneath it.  If you don't like cats you are probably in cahoots with Satan.

So of course I like these.  These Tuttz were made by Argonaut Resins and then fancied up by Small Angry Monster (aka Adam Pratt).  My absolute favorite is the one being built by the Egyptian workers. I got to see one similar to this one last year and it is even more impressive in person.  You could be the proud owner of these custom toys as they will be loaded into the Argonaut Resins webstore tonight at 10pm Eastern time.
