SDCC Exclusive Snybora from Chris Ryniak x Squibbles Ink x Rotofugi

Doesn't this dude look like he wants to strike up a conversation with you?  Like at any moment he will start waxing poetic about how this season of True Detective is way better than the first one because the dialogue, while still seemingly written by someone on mushrooms, has the benefit of not having to be delivered by that stoner in the Lincoln commercials (he's not up on famous Hollywood actors).  Oh, and he absolutely has a British accent, as he was Oxford educated, but doesn't like to talk about it to avoid being labeled a snob.

Chris Ryniak's Snybora is going all exclusive for San Diego Comic Con in this sweet green paint scheme.  This pretty little lizard man bro will be available at Rotofugi and Squibbles Ink's booth #5248 for $35 each.  Buy me one and I'll let you decide where he's gonna live in my house.  You have no idea what a big step that is for me and my OCD.

Exclusive "Glow In The Dark" Lavabear from Nathan Hamill x 3DRetro for SDCC

I've often wondered what it is my cats are up to at night while my wife and I are attempting to sleep.  I say "attempting" because we are usually woken up every hour by one of them needing attention, or so catastrophic noise from another part of the house.  They are so loud that if someone broke in they would probably get half of our stuff out the door before I realized it wasn't just another kitten stampede.  I'm gonna be heated if I wake up and I can't watch Wendy Williams talk smack on people while I eat my cereal!

One of the things I've wondered is how they react to the shear amount of toys in the house at night, especially the glow in the dark ones.  It's gotta be kinda freaky to be walking along, doing your cat thing, while all these little plastic figures are glowing all around you.  Maybe they think they're witches and are performing elaborate, albeit, noisy rituals to stop them from casting spells.  Or maybe they just don't give a crap one way or the other and are just having fun being as destructive in the dark as they can be.  It's probably that last one.

Nathan Hamill and 3DRetro are bringing an exclusive Lavabear to San Diego Comic Con that will glow in the dark and may or may not interest your cat.  The cool thing about this is that it doesn't have that sickly white coloring that most toys do that glow in the dark, so it looks just as nice in the daytime as it does while you're stumbling around with a baseball bat at 3am to protect your television from what may or may not be a prowler.  Only 75 were made and Nathan will be around to sign them on Saturday, July 11th from 2:30pm-4pm at the 3DRetro booth.

Metallica's Kirk Hammet Bringing Exclusive Toys to SDCC

Kirk Hammet is living the life you wish you had. He's the lead guitarist in the biggest metal band in the world, he surrounds himself with every iconic horror movie prop he can get his hands on, and...and...what other proof do you need?  Oh, he has his own horror convention and his own toy company, which will feature some exclusive releases at San Diego Comic Con.  Not only will you get a sweet figure out of the deal, but buying one of them will give you the opportunity to meet the man himself.  If you're real nice he may help you figure out why you just can't quite nail the opening to "Master of Puppets."  But probably not, though.

Take a look at this graphic for more info on the people he's sharing a booth with including Nuclear Blast Records, Stern Pinball, and JSR Merchandising.  I want those Metallica and WWE pinball machines.  And that GWAR shirt.  And the toys.  I just want everything!

Mr. TMNT by Dead Greedy x DKE for SDCC

We are all lucky enough to live in a time when if you're not happy with anything about yourself you can just go ahead and change it.  Through the miracles of modern medicine and sometimes just through sheer willpower/not telling the truth, we can transcend just about anything we see as an obstacle.

Who knew that deep down Mr. T had always identified as being a Ninja Turtle?  There's got to be a Diane Sawyer special any day now so we can hear his side of the story.  But until then we'll have to speculate that as a child he had an almost unnatural attraction to opening manhole covers, speaking like a surfer from Venice Beach, and craving only pizza for every meal.  The other kids thought he was nuts when he carried a little rat friend around, telling them all that he was his martial arts teacher.  But now Mr. T can live out his life the way he was always meant to, and to commemorate this occasion you can own one of these figures by Dead Greedy.  They will be available at DKE's booth at San Diego Comic Con for $55 each and are limited to just 25 pieces.

Super7's Truckload of Exclusives for SDCC

A visit to Super7's booth at San Diego Comic Con could drastically change the landscape of your collection/ability to retire one day.  But fear not, because if you start right now you may have just enough time to get a few new credit cards in the mail so you don't have to worry about picking and choosing the toys you want.  You max those babies out, then get another credit card with a sweet no interest balance transfer deal and you are practically making money as you shop!  Not really, but it does take the sting away when you think of it like that.  Behold all that could be yours:

Star Warhol by Killer Bootlegs x DKE for SDCC

Oh man, I love when I unconsciously stumble upon a theme.  Let's see, we got Star Wars presented in an unexpected way, a DKE exclusive for San Diego Comic Con, and......ok, that's about it I guess, but a theme it is indeed that runs through both of my posts today.  Now let me tell you about my drive  home from work last night.

Just as I'm leaving to come home (which is the only time bad weather seems to happen) the sky turned black and began to rain.  Then I got a notice on my phone about a tornado watch.  No big deal I thought, I'll just take off now and hopefully out run the bad stuff.   That is not at all what happened. The wind picked up tremendously, pushing my small car all over the road, as pieces of tree branches and road signs fell into the road.  I get stopped at what turns out to be the last working set of traffic lights and as I'm sitting there a group of power lines start shooting sparks into the air.  The rest of my hour and a half drive consisted of crossing a mud-filled median to the opposite side of a highway and thus around a group of fallen trees, and trying my best to avoid numerous power lines as they danced like electric eels on the blacktop.

The moral of the story is I could have used an R2 unit to help me navigate the treacherous conditions.  All I had was an IPod, Amon Amarth's "Twilight of the Thunder God" (which seemed appropriate) and the will to not die.  I don't know if Killer Bootleg's Star Wars/Andy Warhol mashup could have helped, but the most intelligent soup can in the galaxy probably would have had a few helpful tips. Or he would have just beeped at me and smelled like tomatoes.  DKE will be offering 50 of these for sale at their booth during San Diego Comic Con and at only $75 each, they probably won't last long.

Django Uncloned Heirloom Edition from Robin Van Valkenburgh x Good For You Toys x DKE for SDCC

I think that is longest title I've ever written for a post.  I seriously got winded by the end of it and blacked out a little.  I gotta work on my cardio if I'm gonna tackle a title of that magnitude again, cause I'm not trying to embarrass myself in front of you folks.  TMZ ain't getting a picture of me drooling on my keyboard and shakin like Courtney Love in church.

I bet you never thought you'd want to collect ceramics as bad as you do right now.  It's cool, life is weird like that.  And Robin Van Valkenburgh ain't exactly reproducing those creepy clowns that filled your grandma's house.  Nope, we're talking crazy stuff, like this Django Uncloned figure in collaboration with Good For You Toys.  Only 20 of these space cowboys will be available from DKE's booth #5045 at San Diego Comic Con for $110 each.  Get yourself one and blow a stranger's mind when they're perusing your estate sale.

Trouble Trouble from Dabs Myla x Munky King at SDCC

Did you watch the MTV Movie Awards?  Yeah, me neither.  I would much rather remove one of my eyes with a spoon than watch just about anything on that channel.  Ok, I do get a kick out of True Life, and for some reason I can still be suckered into watching the Real World for some reason, even if it's just in hopes that the house catches fire with all of them in it.  So let me revise my previous statement:  I would rather remove one of my eyes with a spoon than watch MOST of the programming on MTV.  Sometimes you just gotta slum it.   Then I found out Dabs Myla designed the set for the Movie Awards and I was mildly tempted to watch it, but then I also realized that still photography is a thing and I could enjoy their work without having to risk hearing a Kanye West song.

The couple create artwork that practically begs to be made into toys, yet this is surprisingly their first foray into the vinyl world.  Munky King will be debuting this delightful stick of dynamite and his stressed out match friend at this year's San Diego Comic Con.  If you can't make it to the show because you're busy auditioning for Teen Mom 8 don't worry, they're gonna be available later on at https://www.munkyking.com/.

Kidrobot To Debut Mega Man Collection With Two SDCC Exclusives

When I was a wee little lad I used to spend a week every summer hanging out with my grandparents.  I always wanted to dig through all the stuff in their attic and garage but they were kinda reluctant to let me treasure hunt, which made me think they had some really cool things that they were not interested in sharing, like guns or a family of science rats.  They did their best to keep me occupied and from playing Indiana Jones in their house, and one of the ways they did it was by taking me to rent video games.  Now I'm gonna have to explain this to the younger folks:  there used to be a time when you had to leave your house in order to borrow video games from businesses specifically set up for just this.  Weird, right?  Well, I remember renting Mega Man 2 and desperately trying to finish it in the two days I was allowed to keep it for, but no dice.  I had to sucker my mom into renting it again for me when I got home and I blew through all the money I had to pay the late fees.  Even though it cost me a small fortune I finally finished it, and surprisingly enough, have never worked that hard at anything else in life.  All of my dreams, my potential, gone the moment I slid that cartridge back across the counter.  Hahahahahahaha just kidding, I got even more awesome from there, some would even say disturbingly so.

According to Wikipedia there have been over 100 tiles in the Megaman franchise, and Kidrobot and Capcom are celebrating this little dude with some pretty cool toys.  Your first chance to get your hands on them will come at San Diego Comic Con where two exclusive figures will be released.  Break Man and Mega Man will be available in 7 inch versions at $49.99 each.  If you can't make it to the convention you won't miss out completely, because in September a blind box series, a keychain collection, and two other 7 inch figures of Mega Man and Proto Man will be made available wherever you prefer to buy your toys.

"Baby Huey" from Frank Kozik x Kidrobot to Debut at SDCC

Being a sadistic dictator has never been more adorable!  Check out Frank Kozk's take on North Korea's supreme ruler with this itty bitty "Baby Huey" from Kidrobot.  Now we know what happened when Seth Rogen and James Franco made that movie about whacking this dude, so what do you think the retaliation will be when this plastic bed wetter makes his debut at San Diego Comic Con?  Do you think the North Koreans will invade Kidrobot's booth and buy them all up, preventing them from being obtained by the general public?  Will they release secret information about Frank, like how long he has been a subscriber to Cat Fancy magazine?  Are they gonna hack my website for posting this?  The world as we know it could change at the hands of a hilarious vinyl figure.

Now don't fret like this little guy if you aren't going to Comic Con, cause he will be available on a wider scale in stores and online starting August 6th.  At 8 inches tall and only $65, that's a lot of bang for your buck.  Hopefully not a literal bang from an angry North Korean army.  Viva la Revolucion!!!!!

Monster Worship at SDCC

Monster Worship is making the trek west for San Diego Comic Con and is bringing a metric butt ton of stuff for you.  Lets get to it sucka.

From the twisted mind of Johnny Ryan come his Prison Pit creations Cannibal Fu**face and Rottweiler Herpes.  How are these not characters in the WWE?  Someone get Vince McMahon on the phone.  They're unpainted, yellow as all get out, and rarer than a watchable Jennifer Aniston film.  Each one is $75 ya cheapskate.

Where my Galaxy People at?  Ok, that was lame of me to say and now my street cred level has dropped below zero.  I would like to apologize to all of my friends, my family, and my fans that I let down.  I will now be entering a rehab facility to help me work through my problems.  These little dudes are $25 each or $75 for the set, cause that's how math works, son.

Oh, this is something else from Johnny Ryan and it's called Mass Murder.  That is a not a good name for a child at all, so don't be easily influenced by pop culture and name your kid that.  You're just asking to drive up to the federal penitentiary every weekend for the rest of their natural life.  But he is all sparkly, which I'm a sucker for.  $85 will get you one.

These are the tiniest little Greasebats ever.  Jeff Lamm created these wee little bros and they are $15 each in slime green or unpainted glow in the dark.  Don't put them in your nose.

This guy looks like fun and not horrifying at all.  Just kidding, he scares me a bit.  Not pee my pants scared, but scared enough that I wouldn't take my eyes off of him for any period of time, less he catch you on the sneak!!!!  Michael Skattum designed this freaky dude and you can have your very own for $50.

If you want any of this goodness you have one chance this Friday at 3:30pm at the Lulubell Toys booth # 5047 when they start giving out tickets for the sale which will last from 4-6.

Peruse the SDCC Wares of Frank Kozik

By this time next week all of the attendees of San Diego Comic Con will be bankrupt and suffering from what is called the "nerd flu", which is transmitted by being stuffed like sardines into big convention spaces.  But don't worry, it's rarely fatal.  Once your germs stop arguing about whether or not Star Wars is superior to Star Trek they usually just move on about their business.  Frank Kozik will be there trying not to get sick while selling you lots and lots of neat stuff he made, like these Clockwork Carrot figures.  He's got some of the originals left for $125 and the new Supervillian edition for $145:

Or maybe you're more of a bear person, I don't know your life!  Check out this matte black Dim Bear for $145 with awesome gold beat down chain.

Do you like adventures and mysteries, cause William, Henry, and Reginald here look like they're about to do some exploring/sleuthing that will probably lead to epic hijinks and other words you won't ever use in a sentence in your daily life.  This is the Heart of Darkness edition, which leads me to believe their quest will take them beyond the family friendly realms of PBS and into the seedier underbelly of HBO.  For $110 you can make up your own gripping tales of suspense, intrigue, and scandal!

Ooooooh I like this.  Heathrow is looking like a rare treasure in clear blue vinyl.  And he is pretty rare, cause only 50 of these were made and they will be $40 each.

Ahhhh more clear blue vinyl!  Look how it shines like the Hope Diamond.  And it's probably equally as cursed.  I think I need a light box to display my clear toys, cause this setup is just too nice.  This is that wow factor that people will see when they come into your home and make them forget all about the cat smell.  25 of these sets of Hateballs were made and can be yours for $65.

Are two Hateballs just too much commitment for you?  Do you not feel you'll be able to love them both equally and show them the attention they need to flourish in this cold hearted world?  How about you stick with one big one that glows in the dark.  He's unpainted and will run you $40.  If you buy enough of them you could hang them from your deck and create party lights.  If you have any friends that would come to a party, which I don't and no I don't wanna talk about it.

The future is kinda stupid isn't it?  It's mainly stupid cause we'll miss out on most of it.  Sure, we'll get to see the immediate future, like lunch time and whatnot, and we'll get to see what remains of the future until our mortal bodies give out like broken down flesh sedans, but the way way future is completely lost to us.  It's a complete rip off.  At least we don't know what we will be missing, which is nice.  Plague victims were never like "Damn, guess I won't be around to Tweet or take selfies."  I need to get more sleep.

You need a lavender resin Gipper in your life.  Just trust me, it's all part of the bigger picture.  Only 50 were made and they cost $40.

Visit Frank at booth 5051 starting today!

SDCC Exclusive Shub Zeroth from Metacrypt x DSKI One

People are always asking me for advice on how to woo the fairer sex.  Actually, no one has ever asked me that, but I'm gonna tell you anyway with an example from this past Sunday.  First, my wife and I drove out to the boondocks of Pennsylvania to do a bit of antiquing.  There's nothing women love more than buying dead people's treasures.  Gets 'em all in the mood for romance. Next we ate lunch at our favorite spot in the continental US that serves German food.  After gorging ourselves on piles of meat we then headed home to watch the WWE wrasslin pay per view.  And that my friends is not only how you show a woman a good time, that is how you stay happily married.  If they aren't impressed by a date like that you should cut your loses and leave them on the side of the road because it's obvious they're terrible people.

This San Diego Comic Con exclusive Shub Zeroth reminds me of some good antiquing with that nice patina he's sporting.  I'm a sucker for a good patina, and I want this dude pretty badly.  I would not be opposed to showering you with praise if you buy me one.  Metacrypt made him, DSKI One painted him up, and he will be available at 1pm Thursday at the Lulubell Toys booth # 5047.  They will also have some unpainted grey versions and some green and white severed heads that are fun for kids to play with.  If anything doesn't sell (which would be stupid of all of you attending) it will be made available at Brian Ewing's booth # 4503.

3A SDCC Exclusives Online Sale

I haven't once complained about not being able to go to San Diego Comic Con.  I've never been before, so it's not like I had any expectations of attending.  Plus, most of the exclusive stuff makes it's way online one way or another.  The folks at 3A are ensuring that you aren't missing all the fun that comes with waiting in line for hours at a time by releasing their exclusives this Wednesday, July 23rd, at 11pm Hong Kong time.  These are the amazing toys they'll have available, and you can buy them separately or as a bundle package that will save you a few dollars plus get you an exclusive poster (that is, if you're an existing 3A member, cause membership has its perks). They're not guaranteeing how long the sale will go on for or how many of each will be available, so if you want em you better cancel your plans and make your new home http://www.bambalandstore.com/.

SDCC Exclusive NekoFukurou by Jeff Soto x Blackbook Toy x DKE

You know why these are great?  You don't have to answer cause I'm gonna tell you.  These are more than just toys: they're uber functional design pieces that you can change with your mood.  There's a cat on one side, an owl on the other, and they come in two different colors.  You can mix, you can match, you can drive yourself absolutely crazy with the possibilities.  And they're hollow, so you can get all DIY and put a little LED light under them.  Or those awkward photos that your best friend knows to burn in case you ever turn up dead.  I'm not here to judge.

Jeff Soto and Blackbook Toy created these and they will be another DKE exclusive at San Diego Comic Con.  I'm not allowed to have these because it would cause me to have a melt down trying to decide how to display them.  They're just teasing my obsessiveness.

SDCC Exclusive Transformers Box Sets from The Loyal Subjects

The best thing about having been a kid in the 80's and 90's is that everything I loved will always be reinvented in cool new ways.  The toys I played with and the shows I watched are constantly getting revamped for a new generation of folks and that makes it new for me again.  The Loyal Subjects are, in my not so humble opinion, the reigning kings of nostalgia.  They've taken so many classic franchises and put their own spin on them to make them fresh.  Just look at how amazing these Transformers 3 packs are.  They are exclusives to San Diego Comic Con, but being that they made 500 sets of each, you might be able to snag them afterwards.  Not that you should chance it if you have a ready and willing mule that can get them for you at the convention.  I've toy muled before and it's kinda fun.  You feel like you're doing something dangerous, like any minute the cops will show up and strip search you for contraband.  I'm living on the edge baby!!!

SDCC Exclusive Shadow Ralf from Craola x 3DRetro

This looks like something that would be in one of those creepy stop motion films and surprise, it is.  Greg "Craola" Simkins is creating a short called "I'm Scared" and this little dude is part of it.  Is he what we're supposed to be scared of, cause he kinda freaks me out a little.  He's like a little dead Batman that would knock your dishes out of the cabinets while you slept.

Shadow Ralf stands a full 6 inches tall, will cost you $70, and is a San Diego Comic Con exclusive for 3DRetro.  You can meet Greg on Thursday from 1pm-2pm, have him sign your figure, and ask him about the film and if there are things more scary than this guy in it.

SDCC Exclusive Chorko from Skinner x Healeymade

Fun fact:  He-Man was originally conceived as Charles Manson's introduction to the world of acting.  He was gonna play every character in this passion piece he developed while locked away in prison.  Of course by the time he envisioned it He-Man had already been on the air for a number of years and he wasn't allowed to use the phone anymore.  Thems the breaks Charlie!

Skinner and Healeymade know that ol Charlie Manson's version would have been far superior, so they have created the most epic toy line ever featuring what could have been.  This is Charlie taking on the role of Orko, that weird little floating shirt wizard thingy.  You'd think if you were a good wizard you could hocus pocus yourself some new legs, but what do I know.  This bro is an exclusive to San Diego Comic Con and will only be available from Skinner himself at booth number 5051.

SDCC Exclusive Snybora from Chris Ryniak x Rotofugi x Squibbles Ink

I am going to admit something I'm not terribly proud of right now:  One of my favorite things to watch on tv at the moment is Naked and Afraid.  There are a couple of reasons I enjoy this show.  One is that I am desperately trying to wrap my head around why anyone would want to be dropped in the wilderness without pants and being left there for three weeks.  Maybe I just don't know how to have fun.  The other reason I like it is because I feel that if I watch enough of them someone is going to get bit by a snake in a very uncomfortable place and it will be the single greatest thing that has ever been on tv.  Like when that guy got his calf bit off on Shark Week and they actually showed it!!!!  That was I-N-S-A-N-E!!!  So far nothing real bad has happened to anyone on the show other than some questionable food choices that led to stomach discomfort, but a producer did get bitten by a snake and half his foot rotted off.  That was pretty gross and a perfect example on why the people that are on this show have lost their minds.

I would also be totally fine with something like this Snybora rising from a lake and chasing two naked folks through the woods.  I imagine he would run kind of like a frilled lizard and scare the living crap out of you.  The Blushing Envy version of this scaly menace was created by Chris Ryniak and brought to life by Squibbles Ink and Rotofugi and is an exclusive to San Diego Comic Con.  Get one for yourself at booth 5248 for $35 and have it sit next to you as you watch reality television for all the wrong reasons.
