SDCC Exclusive Milk Choco and Dark Choco Miyu Square Cosplay from Toy Tokyo x 3A

Alright ladies, I know you're working hard on your costumes for San Diego Comic Con, but if you are stuck on who to dress up as may I suggest you take inspiration from the photo above.  Or really any of the girls from the world of 3A would be fine with me.  No need to thank me,  I'm just here trying to be your costuming muse for the sake of the greater good.

I love that someone has finally made a convention exclusive toy that takes into account the culture of convention going.  And not only that, but 3A have combined two of their popular characters in doing so.  Toy Tokyo has these Milk Choco and Dark Choco Miyu Square Cosplay figures on lockdown and they are limited to 50 pieces each.  So if you want one you better get to booth 5337 early cause these ladies will most likely be pretty popular.

SDCC Exclusive Resin Bones Series from Killer Bootlegs x Mike Egan x DKE

I am officially ready to make my pick for greatest thing available at San Diego Comic Con this year. And being that my logic has proven to be beyond reproach, you're gonna want these so bad.  Killer Bootlegs shrunk Mike Egan's Bones figure down to action figure size and painted them, and get ready for this cause I'm about to push the whole thing over the top:  each card back was painted BY HAND by Mike!!!  This is as original as original art gets.  Who came up with this, because it is genius.  There are three different styles modeled after three different classic toy lines and only twenty of each version were produced.  These are exclusives for the fine folks at DKE, so I would make sure I hit their booth up pretty early and maybe rob some cosplay kids on your way in so you have a ton of cash.  Not that I condone criminal activity mind you, but I'm just saying you gotta make sure your funds level is sufficient so you can get all your treasures back home.  Just don't try and rob anyone cosplaying as a cop, cause that will end poorly for you.

SDCC Exclusive Hikari Figures from Toy Tokyo x Funko

Are there more Funko toys on the planet than people yet?  It seems like every five minutes they're making something new.  And it would be cool except for the fact that I want just about all of it.  Space is seriously starting to become a premium in my house and the only rooms that don't have toys in them yet are the bathrooms.  I will most likely not be able to say that by the end of the year.

Toy Tokyo is making the trek to San Diego Comic Con and they're bringing a bunch of stuff with them, like these exclusive Hikari figures.  The Skeletor is my favorite, but Batman and Leonardo are looking pretty snazzy in their bright paint schemes.  Just make some extra room in your suitcase and get all three so you won't be sad about it the whole way home.

SDCC Exclusive C-3P-Ho from Manly Art x DKE

While walking around Atlantic City it is not unheard of to be solicited by one of the working women that litter the corners.  Prostitutes make people think of a lot of things, most of which I would never type here to be preserved on the internet forever, but when I see them all I can think about is this Sifl and Olly video:

How great is that?  You don't have to tell me it's the best, cause I already know.  It was naturally the first thing I thought of when I saw this new figure from Manly Art.  Ok, the first thing I thought was "that's hilarious", then I started singing the song, which caused my cats to look at me like I lost my mind.  This scandalous droid is another DKE exclusive for San Diego Comic Con and will go splendidly with Manly Art's previous Pimp2-D2 figure.

Kidrobot Announces SDCC Exclusives

Kidrobot is doing things a little differently at this year's San Diego Comic Con.  They have forgone having their own booth in favor of spreading their exclusives around the show floor to different partners.  While you may think it's a negative that you can't just get all this stuff in one spot, I think you should look at it differently.  Look at it as an opportunity to explore booths you may not have ever visited before and to learn about other cool stuff you may really enjoy.  Now it's like they're doing you a favor by sending you on this journey of self discovery/potential bankruptcy.

Check out their first ever artist designed Bot figure.  Tristan Eaton designed this and it will be available first to convention goers, but it sounds like the rest of us will get a chance at one as well later on.  The folks at Rotofugi (booth 5248), Bait (booth 4949), and Fugitive (booth 601) will all have these available.

Who doesn't love a sassy space critter with an abundance of fire power?  No, I'm not talking about your mom, I'm talking about Rocket Raccoon!!!!!!  He's getting the Labbit treatment from Frank Kozik (booth 5051) and you will not only be able to buy it first and get it signed, but you'll be the first to even SEE what it looks like.  I actually know how the figure looks:  snazzy on my entertainment center!  See what I did there?  I'm a mess.

And here's an example of what I was talking about earlier.  How many people would have normally made a stop at the Nickelodeon booth?  Be honest.  Well now you have the perfect reason to go and check it out to score these exclusive Beebop and Rocksteady figures.  Booth 4113 is the only place you'll be able to get them and who knows what else they'll have that you can't live without.

SDCC Exclusive Lavabear from Nathan Hamill x 3DRetro

Cute things with big pointy teeth make me leery.  On the one hand, you kinda wanna pet them, but on the other hand, you may have to make a visit to the emergency room shortly there after.  I'm glad that at the zoo they make it pretty hard (though not impossible) to snuggle the dangerous creatures, otherwise I would be on the news a lot and I think my insurance company would drop me.

Lavabear from Nathan Hamill is quite adorable in vinyl form, though he looks a little bitey.  Being that he is an inanimate object the threat of evisceration is probably minimal, so I'm gonna go ahead and label him safe.  This fellow will be an exclusive for 3DRetro at San Diego Comic Con and is limited to 125 pieces.

SDCC Exclusive Astronocchio from Dave Bondi x DKE Toys

I know what you're thinking:  What would it look like if Astro Boy and Pinocchio had a baby?  I also know the other things you're thinking and frankly, I'm kinda grossed out.  You should talk to someone about that.

DKE is releasing so many exclusives for San Diego Comic Con that I can barely keep up.  Dave Bondi made this little resin mashup of two of the world's most famous artificial dudes.  Oh, the hijinks that will ensue when a robot and a pathological liar are joined in one body!  I'd watch that cartoon.

SDCC Exclusive Ceramic Statues from Robin Van Valkenburgh x DKE Toys

I love going to estate sales.  Not only can you find some amazing stuff on the cheap but it's kinda fun to snoop through people's houses without fear of the cops being called.  Yeah, so people clean up before you get there and throw out the most scandalous stuff that may or may not indict them in criminal or at least questionable activity, but it still feels like you're doing something wrong which makes it fun.  I think all the crap I own would make a pretty killer estate sale, but the jokes on you cause when I die I'm having the whole house burned down with everything in it.  Unless my wife is still alive, then that would be in poor taste.  Then she'll have to make sure it's torched when she goes.  It's the ultimate collector's dream, to ensure that no one else ever gets your cool stuff.  I'm takin my toys to the pearly gates, son!

This is the kind of stuff I would kill to find at an estate sale.  I love the crazy ceramic work of Robin Van Valkenburg and these two new figures will be exclusives from DKE at San Diego Comic Con.  These would make great additions to my future funeral pyre.

SDCC Exclusive Butt-Face in Space from Falcon Toys x DKE

You know what's great about DKE?  Just look at the picture, cause everything important that you need to know about this toy is right there for you.  There's nothing for me to get wrong.  I can now focus my attention on being snarky, which I'm a lot better at than rehashing facts.

I suppose if you had a butt for a face, outer space might be the appropriate setting for you.  You'd be pretty much by yourself, except for those guys at the space station, but from what I understand it's pretty easy to avoid other folks in the cosmos with it being all endless and whatnot.  And if you were to have a butt face you probably aren't that good at making friends, since people aren't going to just let that go unnoticed.  As if you weren't aware you could make your chin fart!

Butt-Face in Space is the creation of Falcon Toys and will be exclusively sold at this year's San Diego Comic Con.  I want to give DKE serious props, as they are focussing their efforts on limited run, hand-made items, which is pretty cool.  Not only will you get something truly unique, but you'll be supporting artists who aren't afraid to take risks.

Super7 Exclusives for SDCC 2014

There's only one reason to go to San Diego Comic Con and it's not waiting in line for days to see a panel or that unique odor of 100,000 people crammed in one place during the Southern California summer.  It's for the crazy toys that companies produce just for this event that will never see the shelf of a toy store.  Super7 unveiled their exclusives for this year and I would punch your grandmother in the mouth to own them.  First up, check out that sweet Alien egg.  You's think that would be enough by itself, but it opens up to reveal a special uber rare figure.  These are sold blind boxed for $25 and you can only buy 4 of them, so hopefully you've paid tribute to the plastic gods and they will smile upon you with what's inside.

So now you've got your armful of Alien eggs and nowhere to put them.  If only they created a sweet playset where they could be nurtured and then hatched into little evil space demons.  Oh, would you look at that.  Look how much fun those kids are having, turning every human in the galaxy into a walking incubator.  There are only going to be 250 of these made and are strictly limited to one per person.

Girl, I got something real important to give you.  It's a gimp in a box!  But it's not just any gimp, its that pleather-clad weirdo from Pulp Fiction that has probably made you uncomfortable since you first saw him.  Well, now you can have your very own Gimp ReAction figure in a little wooden crate.  Limited again to only one per person, this naughty little monkey can be yours for $25.

Oh good Lord this is a lot of vinyl!  Alright, I'm a bit overwhelmed so lets just handle these guys in list form so you can have all the pertinent details at your disposal:

Caveman Dinosaur- $35

Mongolian - $65

Crystal Mecha - $95

Fossila - $95

Mummy Boy Adventure Set - $65

Honoo- $35

I think there's gonna be more stuff too but my head is spinning and I should probably lay down before I fall over on a cat.  Get all this stuff at booth #4945 or get yourself one of those toy mules.  But be specific that it's not necessary to bring the toys back the same way they would, say, something illegal.  Things could get messy.

SDCC Exclusive Infected Androids from Scott Wilkowski x DKE Toys

Well, it looks like it's that time of year again where I show you cool stuff that will be available at San Diego Comic Con that you'll have to pray is available after the show.  Or if you're lucky enough to be going, it will be the stuff that you'll want to make sure you're early in line for.  I only talk about the cream of the crop son!

I'm never not impressed by the work of Scott Wilkowski.  First off, he makes these crazy freaky looking skeleton things in the shape of popular toys, then he casts them in resin so they look like some kind of horror movie candy that while tasting delicious, will implant a fetal poltergeist in your gut.  DKE will be selling these exclusive Infected Androids in 4 different colors with 100 figures per.  Buy 1 or buy all 4, just don't put them in your mouth as I can guarantee you they don't taste as good as they look.  Plus, who wants to risk having some dark entity burst out of your chest and call you its momma? Not this guy.

SDCC Exclusive Ghostbuster Pop! Vinyls from Funko

It's that time of year again, when all of us that are unable to go to San Diego Comic Con start making pacts with whatever deity will help us secure those exclusive toys.  I've only seen a few things so far, but I think these Ghostbuster Pop! Vinyl variants from Funko are gonna be pretty tough to beat.  You might want to run and grab a drool towel to protect your internet device as you gaze upon their majesty.

More Mimobots for SDCC

You know what's great about Mimobots?  Besides the fact that they're useful, and cute, and made to look like all the characters you love?  They're small!  So not only can you collect every one and not have to sell your furniture to make space, but when you buy all these new releases at San Diego Comic Con you won't throw out your back carrying them all.  There's nothing worse than injuring yourself, falling to the floor in pain, and being trampled on by 2,000 people dressed as Pokemon.  If you can't make it to SDCC you can go right now to http://www.mimoco.com/ and secure them all there.

My Top 10 Things I Want from SDCC

It seems the popular thing to do on blogs is to create lists.  Fearing criminal prosecution from most of the lists I would like to post, I instead decided to make a list of 10 things I would like to own from San Diego Comic Con.  These are in no particular order.

Anytime someone around me is complaining of any physical ailment I always tell them that their symptoms are consistent with that of a tapeworm living in their gut.  Thus far, I have only been successful at getting one person to actually go to the doctor with this concern, but I keep trying.

Ferg x Grody Shogun made this Young Gohst with a major parasitic issue for Lulubell Toy Bodega's booth #5045.  Get one on Saturday for $45.

Ferg also made this big ol suicidal cat for Rotofugi's booth #5248 starting tonight for $120.

I pretty much want everything Frank Kozik makes, but I narrowed it down to two things I really really really want.  First up is the hand painted Mr. Monsanto.  This releases tomorrow at 2pm at his booth #5051 for $100.

The second thing is this Mishka collaboration Labbit from Kidrobot.  I haven't even seen what it looks like but I know it's a must have.  These will be $99.99 at booth # 4995 on Saturday at noon.

It all of a sudden got real cute in here.  Balance is the key to life my friends, so I've gotta balance out the blood and guts with some sugar and spice.  Brandi Milne's Sugar Lamb, Go! fits the bill.  For $90 you can get this at 3DRetro's booth #5051.

Also from 3DRetro comes this little ice cream dude from Gary Baseman.  He's only $55, which I think is a deal.

Retro Outlaw has given the galaxy's greatest bounty hunter a new mission:  jump over Snake Canyon on your motorcycle, while on fire, while watching Breaking Bad on Netflix.  Piece of cake, dummies.  Visit booth #929, give 'em $120, and live forever in glory!

Classic He-Man figures with Charles Manson heads and custom paint jobs from Skinner? Yeah, I'll take one of those.  DKE will be selling 50 of these, each one unique, for $150.  Get one Friday at 11am.

Speaking of Skinner, look at these guys.  He designed the one on the left while Paul Kaiju designed the one on the right and sculpted them booth.  Get the set for $55 from Lulubell Toy Bodega booth #5045 on Friday.

Last, but certainly not least, is this 8 inch Dunny from Jon-Paul Kaiser x Kidrobot.  Again, who knows what it looks like, but who cares!  It's not gonna suck.  Get one Friday at noon from booth #4945.

Well there you have it.  I'm sure I forgot some stuff.  As always, presents are always appreciated and tax deductible.***

***Probably not though

Munky King Exclusives for SDCC

I would most definitely fight a horde of nerds for this figure.  It features two of my favorite things: blood and guts.  Luke Cheuh and Jason Freeny teamed up to help this bear learn all about his insides.  Munky King produced 100 of these for Comic Con and each was hand made.  It is stunning to say the least and in my top 10 of must haves from this year's convention.  I wouldn't tell if they wanted to sell me one right now.

Doktor A doesn't make anything that isn't insane to look at and this might be his craziest piece yet.  What is nice about this is that it is listed as the Autumn Amble Edition, which would lead one to believe that future releases for us unable to make it to San Diego will occur.

This guy is kinda neat.  Anthony Ausgang released a similar version of this years ago, but he and Dave Pressler have changed up the sculpt and made 50 of them available in this uber limited edition.  Kitty gonna go boom.

Get all three of these by visiting the folks from Munky King at their booth.

More SDCC Releases from Squibbles Ink x Rotofugi

What am I gonna do with myself once all this Comic Con stuff is over with?  Maybe I'll write a novel, or start a motorcycle gang.  There's been so much stuff to talk about and I can't keep up with it all, so maybe I'll just take more naps to rest my weary brain.  Making every post this sexy takes work my friends.

Squibbles Ink and Rotofugi have a bunch more plastic thingys that I haven't told you about yet and that I'm gonna do right now.  Like this Vesper Dredge from Brian Morris.  Kinda freaky, like some back woods totem worshiped by mixed up hillbillies.  Or to reference my childhood, Christmas time with family.  We would dance around this guy right before we burned our Christmas witches.  For $65, you can start your own holiday traditions.

Chris Ryniak's Snybora figure is always a good buy.  At times he looks cute.  At times he looks murderous.  It just depends on what angle you look at him from.  Decide for yourself for $38.

This guy was also designed by Chris Ryniak and would make a perfect companion piece to the Snybora figure.  You could reenact all of the Lethal Weapons movies and put them on Youtube.  This guy is obviously Danny Glover.  It's $108 for the painted one, and $75 for a blank pink one.

As soon as the folks at the Discovery Channel hear about a marshmallow yeti they're gonna make a reality show about trying to find one.  The show will be filled with stupids that hear sounds that no one else does and see things that no one else does.  "Wait, did you hear that?'' No, no one heard that.  Even with all the high tech electronics you have it did not pick up the mating call you swear you heard.  You're a liar or you need medication.

This Sparkle Yeti Mini Marshall is real though. It was made by 64 Colors and is a bargain at only $9.  Good luck finding a parking space for cheaper.

Max Toy Co. will also be there with a plethora of customs and production figures to fit every budget.  And this isn't even everything they're gonna bring.  Kaiju, Kaiju, Kaiju!!!!!!!

Get it all at booth #5248.

Frank Kozik Customs at SDCC

We've seen all the cool production stuff that Frank Kozik will have available at Comic Con, but hat if you want something more personal?  Something that was made with a gentle touch, a skillful eye, and all while making the face of grumpy cat?

Then you're in luck, cause Mr. Kozik has two hand painted releases that await your cash monies.  Mr. Monsanto up there is a very important squid.  He has power, he has influence, he has a green pimp suit.  Only 25 were made and they will be $100 each.

This pleases the heathen gods of tremolo picking and corpse paint.  It's a Black Metal Mishka Bootleg!!!!!!  You can't see it, but I just spit blood all over my computer when I typed that.  I like to get into chracter to make everything more authentic.  13 of these were brought into this world and for $200 you can help separate them so their true power will never be realized.  Or so that Frank has room for more cats.

Get these and much much more at booth #5051.

Even More Goodness from Funko for SDCC

It must be a cool job to work at Funko.  Someone is obviously getting paid to say "how about we make this" and then watch as it happens.  Zombie Jake?  Sure.  Droids Boba Fett?  Why not?  My suggestions at work usually involve me asking someone to stop being a moron, and never once has that resulted in a toy being made.  Visit booth #5343 and beg these fine people to hire you.  And buy lots of stuff.  It will help your prospects.
